UnDefined has been changing the way people think about dining out in Hamilton. Voted one of Hamilton's best all-around restaurants for 2021, 2022, 2023, we are making a big impact on King William Street. With an evolving, seasonal and whimsical approach, our passion is what drives us every day. We strive to push the limits, and for our team, it is just what we love to do. We cook from scratch because that is just the way it should be. We love to challenge the way we all think about dining out.

We believe that there is no reason to put yourself in a box when going out with friends, so we do not do that here. Whether it is a night out with friends, an intimate dinner for two, or just something extraordinary, We are not afraid to take the familiar and turn it into something memorable. If it tastes good, we will put it on a plate, in a glass, or whatever. Our mantra is as simple as eat, drink, and enjoy!

I ordered the Crispy Chili Squid and the CAD Prime Hanger Steak, and both dishes were outstanding in quality and flavor. The service was attentive and friendly, making the experience even better. The ambiance of the restaurant was excellent—perfect for a relaxing and enjoyable meal. Highly recommend!

Absolutely delicious food , great atmosphere , amazing service. It’s great to be able to see the chefs working away while enjoying an amazing mixed drink. We split everything we got and were not disappointed

Great experience, Now I see why they have a 4.6 star rating on Google. We were skeptical at first but the experience was the best we've had in Hamilton and also the portion sizes, the food quality and quantity and the attentiveness of the wait staff was great on our visit. The menu options were pretty great as well. 100% recommend this spot and will return !! Thanks to Undefined for a great brunch experience.

This was my first time at Undefined and everything we ordered was on point. We absolutely adored our server who was a complete blast the entire night and just added to the whole experience. Every dish we ordered was not only impeccably plated but also extremely satisfying and tasty. This is a must try.

We have been to Undefined on many occasions for dinner and brunch. This is by far one of our favourite restaurants for a date night, going out with friends or a weekend brunch spot. The service is always top notch and the food is always beautifully plated and very thoughtful portions. One of the reasons we really like this restaurant is they change the menu. There are always new dishes to try and the cocktails are very tasty as well.

We had a wonderful experience for our anniversary dinner! We ordered PEI mussels, pork belly Dan Dan noodles, scallop risotto, and the sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Every dish was perfect and delicious, and our server was attentive and personable, he made us feel like the only customers in the restaurant, going above and beyond to make our meal experience wonderful. Our favorite restaurant by far in Hamilton and a must visit. I love that the menu rotates regularly so you can always try something new on repeat visits.

The dumpling appetizer was very good but my partner and I got the “to share” plate and it was not worth it at all. $98 for 4 potatoes, one small piece of steak to split between the two of us, some greens and bone marrow. The potatoes and bone marrow were good, but the greens were VERY cold and the steak was almost as cold.

Was there for brunch with a table of 8. The servers were extremely friendly and lovely. The food was excellent. I will say the food took a very very long time to come out, however it was very delicious. Everyone at the table was pleased with their food. I will say there seems to be a lack of overall experience of the staff. Drink orders came out 2 at a time, mostly because of the trays being too small. Our server was putting 2 drinks on the tray and serving them then going back to the bar to get 2 more drinks etc. When it came time to pay we wanted separate bills. Usually a very easy ask these days. However we had to restate our orders individually to our server so that they could prepare the individual cheques. I would definitely return as these are small drawbacks to an otherwise lovely place to eat.
