    Amazing pre-fix valentines menu with wine pairing. Food was absolutely perfect and they were able to accommodate a shellfish allergy with delicious substitutions. Excellent service too! Love this place!

    Interesting & creative menu to read but the outcome & flavors didn’t match the ambition, particularly given the prices & relatively small portion sizes. Service also wasn’t really up to par given the price - staff seemed overworked and, while very nice, they weren’t very attentive as a result.

    Great food great service. The grilled oysters were delicious. The scallion and shiitake pancakes were really good. The blue crab on crispy rice was nice light. The half bird fried chicken was really good along with the sauce and then the steak frites very well made and cooked nicely and the pepper sauce was delicious The staff was very friendly and accommodating will definitely be coming back

    The service was excellent and our meals (mostly raw or cool dishes like oysters, tartare, and sliced tuna) came out incredibly fast. Can’t wait to return!

    Underdog has been named Austin’s Best New Restaurant 2023 and one of Austin’s best restaurants — but it’s still underrated, in my humble opinion. It’s that good. Underdog should be named the the best in Texas, the Southwest, the U.S. Underdog’s food keeps getting better and better. Underdog’s wine program is top notch. Co-owner Richard Hargreave is among the country’s best wine professionals. I’ve been around the block a few times in this department and Richard shows me something new every time I go. All I say is “hey Rich — what should I get?” Spot on. And Underdog’s service team is so sweet. Most have been there since the start — which says a lot about the place. Go now.

    Underdog exceeded expectations! Portions were generous, food was incredibly well executed, kimchi was obviously homemade and fresh/mild too. The space is beautiful and the owners served us themselves and were the nicest people. It feels like a gem you’re protective of! Both of my friends agreed we’d absolutely come back both for steak frites night but especially for the Korean dishes. Also, the pecan silvanas blew all of our minds. They also have a small wine shop/tasting room off to the side that is so cute!
