Great spot for casual dining! Close to the subway and GO train as well as all the downtown attractions!

Food is average and presentation sloppy. The appetizer came after the mains. Not much care in the food or presentation.

Union chicken was fantastic! Their chicken sandwiches are simply the best I have ever had. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich and it was everything I expected it to be right down to the amazing bun. Definitely going back to this restaurant many more times.

Union Chicken does really have the GOAT, well not goat, like Billy Goat, but the greatest of all times, or my lifetime, southern fried chicken. Tucked away in Union Station took us a bit to find. Wife & myself celebrating our 29 anniversary & we wanted something close as had walked about a lot as tourists that day. Union Chicken saw it was our anniversary & gave us complimentary drinks - rye & ginger for myself & my wife said surprise me which they did w some cocktail in a bird shaped glass. She had the Southern Fried Chicken on a bun w their homemade coleslaw (which was also great & you could tell it was freshly made). I had the southern fried chicken thighs & shared my wife’s coleslaw. Lots to eat. Chicken was heavily battered, but crisp, & chicken was not dried out. Only thing I would do to make it even better is adding pickle juice to the buttermilk when you are prepping the chicken overnight, marinating. Staff were awesome but it is busy - so it is alittle loud if you eat in the restaurant vs out along the perimeter of the restaurant in the hallway. Highly recommend - especially if you are transferring or waiting for your train. The food is great & you are served quickly.

I don’t normally leave reviews but I wanted to shout out to the incredible service I received when dining here for my dad’s birthday. In my reservation I noted it was my dad’s birthday and that if they could do anything complimentary it would be appreciated. The staff sat us at a nice booth, immediately wished him a happy birthday when we sat down, gave him a complimentary dessert of his choice with a candle, made modifications to the food for him, patiently listened about his allergies/food sensitivities, brought out a bottle of sauce to proactively read ingredients with my dad and see if they were all safe for him… I could keep going with stellar examples but I’ll stop there. By far the best most attentive and excellent above and beyond service received here. I don’t focus on service at restaurants as a diner much, but I couldn’t help but want to say something great publicly about the top notch service here. Thank you so much to ALL of the staff. The food was great and exactly what you’d hope for when making a reservation to dine here! Look no further for fried chicken around Union Station! I will happily revisit here soon :)
