Upper West's ever-changing menu draws inspiration from around the world while maintaining eclectic flavors unique to them. The bar offers Happy Hour Wednesday-Sunday from 4:30-7:00pm serving refreshing craft cocktails, handcrafted beer. The dinner menu is always evolving and includes ingredients sourced locally from the Santa Monica Farmers Market as well as local farmers such as Weiser Farms and Niman Ranch. Upper West is a real gem and it's one of my two favorite restaurants on the Westside. The quality of food never ceases to amaze me and the staff is both competent and friendly. The original artworks on the wall only add to the comfort and pleasant atmosphere of the restaurant.

We love Upper West. It’s always packed, the food is delicious and everyone is so friendly. This is definitely one of my favorite spots for dinner.

Have been to this restaurant many times and it is one of our "Go To Places". Unfortunately last night there was a large private party (40 or so guests) celebrating a birthday party in front of the bar area. The noice level was off the charts. I could not have a conversation with my husband seated at our table in the dining area. The private party was to move in to the glassed private room for their dinner but cocktails and appetizers were set up in front of the bar and they were still there when we left after about 45 minutes. It was too noisy to stay. The owner was very nice and apologized to us several times but the set up should have been different for a group this large.

Always have so much fun at Upper West. Food is truly outstanding. Dinner was served to our party of eight in a somewhat erratic fashion, but the staff were so jolly about it that we didn't really mind.

This is a cute neighborhood spot. The entire staff is so friendly and helpful. The food was delicious! I had the wedge salad that includes corn which is a fun addition to the traditional salad, blue cheese chips which are decadent, the short rib is tender and flavorful! Highly recommend if you’re in the area.
