   I would’ve gone earlier because we had to wait 20 mins after our reservation. People were holding up the table. I would suggest having umbrellas outside for the patio tables. That way it doesn’t look out of place and not just put out there. Food was amazing!

   The food is good but I would’ve just asked more questions about the menu to the waitress. The wings and potatoes have a seasoning on them that taste sweet, and I wish there was an option for combination plates. There was no room for modifications where it could benefit the customer in my opinion. Understaffed also.

   I loved my experience at Uptown Yolk from the time I walked in the door until I left. I’m new to the area and was looking for a brunch place where the food was the star with a comfy atmosphere. When I walked in I fell in love. The design was beautiful and homey. The hostess was very flattering and accommodating. I told her that my reservation for 2 was actually a reservation with an infant and asked if we could be seated inside. The change was made quickly while I awaited my friend and her lil one. I started with a mimosa cause brunch. My server Selah (spelling?) was ready to help with recommendations when it came to food and any other drinks I may get. We ordered the shrimp and grits to share as well as sweet potato waffles and wings. It was sooooooo perfect. I left giggly, happy and full. Can’t wait to come back. There’s too many dishes left untried

   This was such a cute brunch spot in the Uptown/Downtown Charlotte area! Definitely areas where you can take pictures and enjoy the vibe. Reservations are preferred especially on the weekends. I had a reservation for 11:15 and was seated within 10 minutes of me arriving. Our waitress Kim was phenomenal. They have a nice variety of menu items. I had the chicken and sweet potato waffle with grits and egg whites. The wait time for the food once I ordered was longer than anticipated (about 30 minutes) but Kim kept checking in with us. My chicken was extra crispy which I loved and seasoned very well. My waffle was a little hard, I prefer it to be fluffy. The eggs were cooked hard which was awesome. The service overall was amazing, the food would give an 8/10 but would definitely come back and try other items.

   Everything was great but my chicken was too salty. Waitress was great and all the other food but could not finish my chicken due to the salt.

   The hostess was very rude and made us wait even though we had a reservation. Server was friendly but not attentive. I wanted the oats and they said they only have in the summer. Coffee was cold on arrival and not filled until asked. I asked for sugar and did not receive—got from another table. My mom and daughter’s food was plain and not memorable or thoughtful in its presentation. My grapefruit was fine. I would not go back if you paid me. Very disappointing!

   Overall, the atmosphere was excellent, and the noise level was just right. The mimosas were enjoyable, and the waffles and bacon were absolutely delicious! However, I found the braised coffee beef to be somewhat lacking in flavor, and unfortunately, the chicken was undercooked, with some pink remaining. On a positive note, the shrimp and grits were fantastic! Thank you for the experience, and I hope this feedback is helpful as you continue to refine your menu.

    Great spot, service was a little off. We did have to wait longer than normal for our food, but we’re able to get seated immediately on a Sunday morning. Food was pretty good would recommend.
