Farm-to-table dining in the comfort of our home: that is the unique experience you will find at Urban Hearth. Located in a cozy North Cambridge storefront, our intimate dining room, knowledgeable, friendly staff, and exquisitely crafted menu are the heart of our dinner service. Join us for a la carte or at our chef's counter where you'll have the pleasure of interacting with Chef Erin Miller while dining.

We share a story of culture, community, discovery and home. The globally-inspired, locally-sourced dishes we serve celebrate our rich and complex connection with food. The table is set, whether marking a special occasion or the end of a busy day, we look forward to sharing the evening with you. We welcome private event bookings for graduations, birthdays, weddings and more. To equalize the pay disparity between tipped staff & kitchen staff during our busy times, we add a 5% kitchen appreciation fee to each check. We require 24 hours notice for all cancellations.

Join us for the 3rd annual 100-Mile Dinner, a unique and thrilling culinary challenge that will warm your heart and tantalize your taste buds. This year, Chef Erin Miller of Urban Hearth is teaming up with the talented Chef Song Thanaphon Authaiphan of Mahaniyom and Merai to create a spectacular 4-course menu that blends the bold flavors of his native Thailand with the comforting essence of her roots in the American South. We will employ all of our culinary talents to craft New England’s winter bounty into an exotically spiced, warm and fragrant multi-course tasting menu that sings with flavors of New England, Thailand, & the American South, all sourced from within a 100-mile radius.

An outstanding farm-to-table meal created right in front of you while you chat with our team of talented chefs. When booking, please share dietary restrictions. Note: Our menu for the chef's counter experience is ideal for adventurous diners. This menu changes daily and not all dietary restrictions and preferences can be accommodated. Please allow at least 2.5 hours for your dinner.

We booked the chef's table tasting menu. The flavors were creative and thoughtful, and the service was friendly and attentive. Two things would have made the experience outstanding. First, some of the food was lukewarm when we got it. Second, despite five courses, I was still hungry when we left. The portions for the fish and meat course were small. (My husband ate his steak in a single bite.)

My friends and I love to explore all that the NE food scene has to offer and Urban Hearth is no different. The intimacy of the restaurant lends itself well to a great date night spot or a wonderful place for friends to catch up. The food: genuinely outstanding both in terms of flavor, presentation and in composition. The service: Sam was a delight to speak to and ask about recommendations - the feta gnudi (don’t pass it up, the broth is delicious) the beef short rib (as luxurious as you could hope). In short - don’t pass up going to Urban Hearth for a foodie’s dream.

The kitchen was understaffed so the meal took a very long time to come out (over 2 hours for 4 dishes, two of which were bread and salad). We declined to order dessert because it would have taken another hours! Waitstaff was a bit rude about it. The short rib was absolutely outstanding.

Phenomenal food, service, and ambiance!! Went to celebrate a birthday at the Chef’s table and enjoyed creative and delicious 5-course meal with innovative wine pairing. Everyone was so so pleasant and welcoming. Very knowledgeable staff and the Chef was engaging and brilliant. Their commitment to sustainability is admirable. This is a place to return to frequently!

It gets better each time we go there. Who would have thought cauliflower could be so good, with a chestnut puree no less?

Delicious food and drinks. If you are ok with CLOSE seating arrangements with other tables - this is your place. The staff was lovely and the food very tasty - only hitch for me was how tightly we were seated with other guests.

Urban Hearth, a truly remarkable and extraordinary experience! From our greeting at the door to the exceptional service, walking in was like joining a close happy family home in every cliche rom-com. Extraordinary international Cambridge vibe. We opted for the Chef’s Table - fantastic tasting menu. Both from visual and taste perspectives, each plate was like a Bach cello concerto played by Yo Yo Ma - absolute balance, amplified by deeply exceptional creativity. Wide range of complex ingredients from global cuisines all melded to harmonic perfection. And each course was presented and explained by Chef Erin Miller, with both the knowledge and pride of a parent introducing their summa cum laude offspring. We’ve eaten in several Michelin-starred chef’s tables internationally, and this was among the best and most memorable. Do not miss this experience!
