Utter Waffle - a gem within the South London brunch scene! We opened our Herne Hill restaurant in 2021, and since have become an institution in Herne Hill's small but awesome food scene. Since our launch, we've collected a small cabinet of trophies and awards, and have even cooked our savoury waffles on Masterchef, Sunday Brunch & Saturday Kitchen!
Our busy brunch restaurant serves everything from fried chicken & waffles and our signature avo smash, to bottomless brunch & craft beers. For those with a sweet tooth - fret not as the desserts are pretty good too - (we're even the proud winners of The Best Dessert in the UK (British Street Food Awards)), so there really is something for everyone!
We pride ourselves on a super-inclusive menu and ability to cater for those with dietary requirements; We're co-owned by a coeliac, don't handle any gluten on-site, plus we boast loads of vegetarian and vegan options too! So what are you waiting for!?

Nice waffle brunch for 5 (adults, teens) All enjoyed, only downside was unpleasant man outside who called me a female dog word for going in before him as he’d arrived first. Difference was, we’d booked, he hadn’t and he’d been asked to wait! He continued to talk very loudly to his child thoughout his meal with his toddler (who was subjected to what he called me.) it was busy but manageable volume apart from this guy 🙄 We went as my youngest daughter has coeliacs disease and she’s not had waffles for two years since diagnosis - she gave it an overwhelming thumbs up. Would be nice to see more savoury opinions maybe- although the waffle with marmite and cheddar was sublime!

Absolutely perfect. The service was great, the waffles were fluffy and delicious, and the coffee was really nice as well. Will definitely be coming back.

One of the best breakfasts I’ve had in London! The food and staff were both great, the menu was filled with great options, and they accommodated allergies really well.

This was my first visit at Utter Waffle and I am already planning my next visit. The atmosphere is lovely, staff are very attentive and friendly. But the food!! Wow. Absolutely amazing. I’ll be dreaming of it until I’m back.

Its my second visit in the last few month or two, this time I didn’t have a booking but they were able to accommodate me and my pram. Food, service and coffee is all amazing! I keep telling everyone about it!!

Chaotic and cramped. Not great if you have family members that are SEN - loud coffee machines, cramped space, people everywhere, barking dogs, cold blasts from the door opening constantly. Maybe try and get a table in the back room? We went on Sunday am so probably the busiest time.

The food is absolute top draw every time I go, always feel safe RE allergens in there and staff are friendly and understanding. The food itself is 10/10, taste excellent, the combinations of items on the waffles as well are unique but work so well
