Utter Waffle - a gem within the South London brunch scene! We opened our Herne Hill restaurant in 2021, and since have become an institution in Herne Hill's small but awesome food scene. Since our launch, we've collected a small cabinet of trophies and awards, and have even cooked our savoury waffles on Masterchef, Sunday Brunch & Saturday Kitchen!
Our busy brunch restaurant serves everything from fried chicken & waffles and our signature avo smash, to bottomless brunch & craft beers. For those with a sweet tooth - fret not as the desserts are pretty good too - (we're even the proud winners of The Best Dessert in the UK (British Street Food Awards)), so there really is something for everyone!
We pride ourselves on a super-inclusive menu and ability to cater for those with dietary requirements; We're co-owned by a coeliac, don't handle any gluten on-site, plus we boast loads of vegetarian and vegan options too! So what are you waiting for!?

Excellent friendly staff food exceptional 10/10. However I booked as Amex offered as a payment method this is not the case therefore please update as it leaves me overdrawn on another card until that clears in a few weeks. Might not matter to many but cost of living I’m balancing cards otherwise happy to have booked this another date to safe paying interest as they don’t accept cash.

Delightful people in a lovely setting. The food is not only fantastic for those with allergies or alternative diets but is just really well executed and delicious. I had veggie fried chicken which was brilliantly done with oyster mushrooms and the crispiest batter ever.

Utter Waffle is a popular spot, especially on weekends, so it's best to book at least a day in advance. The waffles were delicious, though I was a bit disappointed that most portions included three pieces instead of four—only the chicken waffle offers the option of two or four.

Utter Waffle never fails to impress. Great menu choices. Great coffee. Staff are welcoming and warm.

We love Utter Waffle. It’s a family favourite. Visited with partner and 7 year old daughter anns our dog and it’s such a fab option for a family brunch. Food is consistently delicious and the service is attentive and thoughtful, especially as it is incredibly busy at all times during the weekend. Our waitress was lovely and kind and the food was delicious.

Very tasty food and refreshing to find somewhere that has both gluten free and vegan options. Will definitely visit again.

I had written my dietary requirements into my booking and they kindly called me in advance to check. When we arrived they were really friendly and double checked everything with the chef. And the food was yum and a nice chill vibe in the place. Thank you!
