   We had a great Valentines experience! Great ambience, our waiter was knowledgeable & friendly. The food and wine selection is elevated for Italian, has a modern element to it. Would go again for sure.

   Inconsistent. This restaurant has potential but has been inconsistent. We will keep going back but with increasing options for good restaurants the area, it may be less without improvements in the food quality and service. It is not bad by any means but could be so much better.

   Excellent 🇮🇹 dinner to celebrate our 35th anniversary. Thank you for the personalized card and complimentary champagne to go with our dessert. Alejandra, our server, was extra sweet and quickly accommodating. This was our 1st visit… great choice. A friend at work recommended since I love Italian food. Thank you Vacanza Romana. 🍾💕🇮🇹😎😎

   Cacio e Pepe and pizza were both delicious. The drinks were fabulous also. Our waiter was kind, professional, and checked in frequently. The space has great ambiance and you can even see into the kitchen. The food did take pretty long to come out, but it was definitely worth the wait- good things take time! Great spot for a date night or special occasion. Will definitely go back in the future!

   Terrific local Italian restaurant with excellent food, nice ambiance. A small, well-designed, space that can get a bit noisy when full. Friendly helpful staff, the wait staff and kitchen can get busy. Appreciate that you never feel rushed and are encouraged to enjoy your meal.

   Our service was phenomenal from the moment we walked in we were greeted by the friendliest hostess who was able to accommodate us on short notice and place us at one of their comfortable booths. We were excited to have Jordan as our server, who has helped my husband and I, in the past. She is always attentive, pleasant to interact with and goes above and beyond. When she saw the disappointment that our 3-year old daughter displayed when she learned that there was no tortellini with Alfredo sauce as an option of either the kids menu or their regular menu she asked chef Devon if he could make the kid’s pasta with alfredo sauce. Chef ended up pulling out pasta, cutting up it up and making an amazing cheese filling and we all watched as he made her tortellini from scratch through the window into the back kitchen from our seats. What a treat! Our daughter was all giggles watching chef preparing the meal she had her heart set on. She devoured it and went on to eat more of the kid’s pasta as she said “she could eat all the pasta here!” Vacanza Romana is kid approved! Grace, was quick to assist Jordan with clearing our plates as we finished, grab more utensils when dropped by our children and so friendly to them. Thank you to everyone that made our kid’s first time at VR, one to remember!

   We had a great time at dinner. I love the service you get at high end Italian restaurants and Vacanza Romana did it perfectly. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was exactly what you want for an intimate night out.

   This restaurant is certainly among the top fine dining places in greater Sacramento. It offers inventive and well-executed small plates and entrees. The two of us focused on salad and pasta. The Caesar salad uses Little Gem lettuce instead of Romaine, for a softer but still firm base. The dressing is true to a Caesar, with crunchy, house-made croutons. The House bread is a two-inch thick Foccaccia, probably the best restaurant bread in the area. The Lasagna ($27) is on a par with Biba's famous lasagna for flavor and quality, but a different style. The noodles are stacked in a row rather than horizontal layers. I counted at least 7-8 layers per inch. They are filled with a beef and pork ragu, béchamel tomato sauce, and two cheeses. We also ordered the Pappardelle al Ragu ($27) . The noddles are awash in a pork belly, short rib, tomato, basil and parmigiano sauce. Both pastas are exceptional and very generous portions. The wine list is outstanding, definitely worthy of a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence. (They need to submit their list for consideration!) In particular, there is a plentiful selection of good wines available by the glass, as well as numerous bottles of quality wine that will not break your budget. There are also many fine wines in the moderately expensive range, as well as a good selection of high end wines (think three and four figures). Our waitperson was helpful, friendly and professional. All of our questions about the menu and wines were handled well. The prices are reasonable for this quality of dining. If you love Italian dining, this is your place!

    Wonderful dinner for our first time here. The lasagna was amazing! My husband had the duck and loved it too. Will be going back again. Great date night.
