Bellarine Peninsula's Van Loon's is a favourite amongst locals, visitors and foodies for its modern and fresh take on Australian cuisine, served in its picturesque restaurant surroundings. Indoor & alfresco seating available for reservations as well as a large garden seating area available for walk-ins. Can't find a table? Contact the cafe directly to assist.
Some of Van Loon's specialty/popular dishes include the fish and chips, VLC Big breakfast, and Buddha Bowl as well as vegetarian, plant based and Gluten free options.
Van Loon's house made scones, served with jam and cream or perhaps Vanilla slice is the perfect dessert with which to finish your meal.
Please note there is a 10% surcharge on weekends and 20% surcharge on public holidays.

    Van Loons never disappoints! The food is always delicious, the smoothies are the best around. Customer service is friendly and attentive. Stunning location, great atmosphere. It is always our first choice for catch ups, celebrations or just a sneaky cake.

    Coffee and Food were both absolutely delicious, huge sizes for the price. Great ambience! Hidden gem!

    Not my first high tea at Van Loons, but very impressed today. The staff were very accommodating and friendly, food delicious and cocktails and mock tails totally gorgeous. Although not the cheapest in town, we think it was value for money and a great afternoon celebrating a special birthday. Thank you again, it won’t be our last visit.

    My family and I always have a great meal at Van Loons. The food is unique and not things I would normally be able to cook myself at home. We love that this is also a nursery so we can wander around looking at the plants afterward. I recommend sitting in the conservatory area, they have blankets if you get cold!

    We had high tea - probably the 6th one I have had a van loons - and it was lovely - highly recommend

    Overall.everything was very good but we had one person who was garlic intolerant and except for the breakfast options she had no choices. After asking there appeared to be no effort made to accommodate her needs. Service was a little inconsistent with some drinks appearing and after asking there was still a wait for the others.More help needed behind bar perhaps. Really appreciated being able to settle the bill individually.

    We have been a few times, the food is always fresh and good variety on the menu. Young staff who do a great job. Thank you I will be back.

    The food was delicious & tasty. Service was good. Venue was a little noisy in the conservatory. Otherwise a good reunion was had by us all. Thankyou Van Loons
