   This is an excellent and surprisingly good value new Indian restaurant in an area of town that’s usually overpriced and bigger on money than class. The venue is beautiful, and the service extremely professional and charming. The chef previously had a Michelin star at Jamavar, and the food is excellent, from very superior home made chutneys onwards to a stunning black dal and delightful petit four. Only slight disappointment was a butter chicken that I thought too heavy in tomato - but that’s probably just a matter of taste. Pricing is obviously not your local curry house, but restrained given both the area and the delightful ambience of the restaurant. Certainly better value than Jamavar and its ilk.

   We experienced the tasting menu, and while the food was delicious, the first 2 courses of the vegetarian menu were extremely spicy. To the point where I couldn't taste anything else. After those courses, the rest was fantastic, with a good balance of flavours, an excellent main dish, and a really great masala tea to finish.

   Huge and interesting variety of dishes - we wanted to order and try more dishes than we could have eaten. Great tasting food, authentic Indian flavours with innovative twists. Especially loved the maach bhaat and the recheado fish dishes. Commendable service, large spacious and quiet venue. Highly recommend and will love to visit again!

   What a fantastic experience. First, when you walk in the atmosphere is beautiful, the staff friendly and attentive. The food was amazing with an exceptional presentation. I would highly recommend trying Vatavaran. I see why it has so many high reviews in such a short period.

   We were interested to visit Vataravan as we frequent it's sister restaurant Kutir and have always enjoyed our visits there. We have dined at most of the top Indian restaurants in London but our experience at Vatavaran topped them all. There was nothing that could be faulted - the food was excellent as were the service, presentation and ambience. We will definitely return !!

   Everything was perfect. The flavour combinations are just out of this world. Love the decor and the attentive service as well. One of the best dining experiences in London.
