   This was a really good find. Near the Jacob burns theater. Jose the waiter was amazing. And the food was clean and yummy.

   Verla continues to be a great place to dine. There is literally something for everyone! All dishes are prepared with care and attention to detail. The chef is inventive and accessible, happily swapping a veg side for something else. You can’t go wrong at Vela. Great job, Michael!

   Food was excellent, we both had fish and the Tuna Tar tar appetizer. Service also excellent, fair value. It was a little quiet for a Thursday night but then again it was pouring outside. Definitely Recommend.

   The waitstaff was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was very good. We had the lemon whipped burrata crostini topped with fig jam & the Calamari which was very tender and delicious. Our main course the braised short ribs also cooked perfectly and delicious. We ended our meal with an espresso crème brûlée & a vanilla ice cream, cuppachino & a macchiato. We also had 2 Roman holiday cocktails. It was a an enjoyable dinner and I recommend trying it.

   Started off with the arugula / pear salad - was delicious and refreshing. Our entrees, my husband and father-in-law both ordered the short ribs which they devoured- always a fan favorite. I ordered the Lobster Paella. It was good, but not great. The lobster was good, but the chicken was extremely over cooked and I wasn't a fan of how the prosciutto was used. Would give it another shot as the portion was good. Desserts we ordered three: key lime pie, banana pudding, & the chocolate brownie. All were divine!

   vela kitchen is a go-to in my family for meeting up with friends for dinner. It’s warm, friendly and the food is always sensational. Get the mussels in white wine sauce. You won’t regret it.

   everything on this menu is always good. The weight staff is super efficient and courteous. And the drinks are good too.
