Found in the heart of historic Currie Barracks in Calgary, AB we have transformed the D4 Stables landmark into a unique collaboration restaurant. Nestled into our West wing we have Vaycay Brew Co brewing up unique, easy drinking beers, and our East is the home to Burwood Distillery focusing on craft made spirits like gins and whiskey using local ingredients like our Honey farms. In the middle we are Veranda, so whether you are in for a beer or cocktail we have them all, and produced on site! Our cuisine focuses on utilizing our collaborative partners brew and spirits into our dishes with our showcased Italian clay brick ovens on display for guests to watch their pizzas being cooked. Incredible events space, sprawling 200 seat south facing patio, gin distilling classes, tours and more. A quick 6 minutes from downtown Veranda is your hidden gem of Calgary. Great food, good service but very noisy. We were yelling at each other in the larger room. Asked to be moved to the bar area and were accommodated!

Nice place but between the sound of voices echoing and then they turned on the music having a conversation required yelling at your table mate. Large tables of people would not be able to talk to one another. The spot is lovely but really really loud. Got quieter after 8pm.

Popped in for dinner ahead of a concert at Grey Eagle. Food was delicious, service prompt even though they were full. And only 7 mins over to Grey Eagle. Will come back again for a brewery tour!

We sat down and ordered a glass of wine and then the waiter came back and told me they didn’t have my Chardonnay they ran out (reservation was for six) so I had to make another choice. I ordered my dinner which was a vegetarian quesadilla with the Caesar salad. I wanted to change it to a green tossed salad, but she said I can’t do that And I offered to pay more money, but she said that’s not doable. Then after confirming all that with her, she came back to the table and told me they were out of quesadillas. How does a restaurant run out of vegetables and flour tortillas however it was disappointing, but we made the best of it.
