   The interior aesthetic are nice . Music is too loud for a conversation. Service was excellent except for one of the food runners that kept mumbling as he ran through what was being served. We couldn't hear or understand him all night. Food was just ok. I would rate it a 5. Overpriced and tiny tiny portions. Places like this one just take advantage. I flipped that menu maybe 20 times and still couldn't decide. I got the tuna tostada appetizer. They poured bunch of Tajin on it and layed it on a sweet potato base. Terrible! So off. I'm a huge foodie and I was very confused with their menu. My 4"11 friend who is a healthy 100 pound adult and is not a big eater was complaining that she was still super hungry. She never complains either but she was very upset. She got the Branzino. Super tiny. The menu was just all over the place. They dont even have a decent salad selection. We had to keep ordering the milk buns (one of the best items on the menu) to not feel hungry. $400 later we ended up grabbing food again an hour later. I really had high hopes but will not be back. Prices are insanely high for what you get. Their selling point is the music. Which is super loud. Borderline too dark in there too. They have a tiny lamp on the table that we kept moving around so we can see out plates.

   Verse is a fantastic dining experience. The restaurant is beautiful with specifically designed acoustics so that you can talk with your companions. The staff is excellent and knowledgeable, attentive but not obtrusive. The cocktails were excellent as was the food. It was difficult to decide what to order because everything sounded so good!

   The acoustics in this place are amazing. The jazz band can play yet you can hear yourself talk and others. Food was amazing atmosphere is top-notch.

   If you have a special occasion to celebrate, Verse should be your choice. We celebrated my b-day, and so did the table next to us and an anniversary two tables away. I gave 5 stars in all areas except the value, and only because the menu is quite pricey. We ordered Melamente, Pancho and MADD city cocktails; excellent creations. Following most of the reviews, we had the milk buns and octopus as appetizers. For dinner entrees, husband ordered the Branzino and I Crab Capanelli. We were not disappointed with the appetizers. Milk buns melt in your mouth; the whipped brown butter has the perfect sweetness. The octopus was cooked perfectly; so tender. I don't know how the chef came up with all the different sauces on the octopus but oh so delicious. So husband was a little disappointed with the Branzino as it was fairly plain when compared to the octopus. The crab capanelli was cooked al dente and the sauce was creamy with the right amount of saltiness. The toasted almonds added the unexpected crunch and well combined with the richness of the sauce. The only neg here is that it was difficult to locate the crab; the chef should really double up on the amount. Service was excellent as expected; ambiance - not too dark with just enough lighting to read the menu; and the live band added extra points to this special occasion. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience.

   Verse is a must-visit. Everything was incredible. Entrance: super cool, semi-secret. Hostess/welcome: very warm, inviting. Ambience/lighting/atmosphere: calm, intimate, on darker side but in a good way. Server (Dawson): efficient, kind, knowledgeable, patient and fun energy. Drinks: creative and deliciously complex -- the rosé was unlike any we've tried, so good; and the MAAD City cocktail was fantastic. Food: octopus starter was perfect, lamb pasta unique and delicious, oyster mushroom side scrumptious. Dessert & coffee: we got the flourless cake with caramel ice cream and wow, so good; coffee is a simple thing normally, but this felt special--delicious decaf americano. Overall we were blown away, it exceeded expectations!

   Our first time trying Verse and we loved it. Food was delicious, good drinks, great service and the live music was fantastic. We really enjoyed ourselves and will definitely come back. Highly recommend.
