Our waiter was great , cool place . Appetizers were good , cheese tray was the best . Entrees were ok , expected more for the price . Cocktails were really good . Probably would not return or recommend.

Stunning architecture with classical fixtures due to the building once being a church. It’s recent history with the paranormal gives it a certain playful energy. We had attentive and engaging service. Our party throughly enjoyed our appetizers and entrees. The wall of backlighted array of liquor bottles was an art installment by itself. We had fun watching the manager take a ladder to retrieve a bottle of scotch we requested. It has been added to a yearly stops when we visit NOLA.

This is the second time we’ve dined at Vessel & also the second time it was disappointing. I was hoping the first time was just a bad night, but today’s brunch was equally as awful. We came in for a late brunch around 1:30pm with reservations. The menu is very small (which we knew), but the kitchen was out of 3 options leaving very sweet items or a basic breakfast plate. Our service was very slow. We only had water & main dishes. The water was refilled once only after I asked. The building is gorgeous. I just wish the service and kitchen management were held to a higher standard. The options for brunch and dinner in New Orleans are abundant choose a different spot.

There’s a nice atmosphere with fairly priced food and drinks. The food verges on bland if you get anything that’s supposed to be savory. The food and drinks take a long time to come out even in a half full restaurant. Our waiter spilled some of our drink on the table and didn’t bother to offer to wipe it and threw away our leftovers when we asked for to go boxes.

Overall this place didn't exactly live up to the hype. The food was mediocre and overpriced and didn't seem fresh at all. Service was solid. Ambiance was the best part.
