   We for some reason haven't been here for years. So we went on Wednesday night. The restaurant and bar were very busy as we sat down. Our server came up and welcomed us and took our cocktail order, to our friend Toms surprise they had a appletini which he loves. I ordered the chopped tomato and onion with blue cheese and the steak burger. Tom had the lambchops and Jim the Fried chicken special. My said to be honest wasn't that great. The onions were over marinated and translucent which means they have been sitting in a dressing for too long. I just ate the tomatoes and the blue cheese. Entrees arrived and my burger looked fantastic. It was suppose to have fontana cheese but for some reason it had cheddar, also it had grilled onion which I'm not a fan. However it was a very tasty Burger and I would order it again! Tome Lamb Chops were excellent a was Jims Fried chicken. The side of Au gratin were also very very good. Huge portions and large cocktails we will defiantly come back We had a very nice experience here

   We made a reservation for 6 people in the lounge at 7:30. We added one person by calling the restaurant directly. We ate dinner at home and planned to go for drinks and listen to the entertainment. The waitress informed us that we had to order some food or go sit in the bar. We decided on appetizers, which didn't seem to be a problem for the waitress. Before leaving the waitress told us the manager was adding a $15 surcharge for each person because we didn't order dinner. Needless to say, we were surprised. We weren't told earlier that we had to order a dinner; nor did I see anything on the OpenTable website or Vicky's website indicating that we had to order dinner. I spoke with the manager, I explained to her that we weren't aware that ordering dinner was required. I asked the manager to consider dropping the surcharge. We got the bill later and found the charges still there. I think the manager would have earned some goodwill had she done so; instead, we left disappointed and do not plan to return, although we had be there many times before over the last 15 years.. Too bad, for $105 you can't buy the kind of advertising that goodwill promotes; or, the impact unhappy customers.

   We sat in the lounge area because that is where Fun With Dick and Jane perform! Good band, food and crowd.

   Overall, very nice dinner. Quiet table well away from the lounge area (with music), but a little dark. Service was prompt and attentive. The sourdough bread was outstanding, served with a generous portion of whipped butter. The wine list was limited, but still had some nice offerings. I ordered the rack of lamb with a Caesar salad to start. The salad was very ordinary, especially compared to the Tommy Bahama hotel restaurant next door. The rack of lamb was well cooked to order. My brother ordered the halibut special, which was excellent.

   We had a delightful evening of dining at Vicky's. Food highlights were the pot pie and the New York strip. We enjoyed a leisurely meal in one of the back dining rooms where the noise level was appropriate for good conversation. This is a popular spot. Reservations are recommended.

   Food was excellent but it was so loud we could not hear each other talk. We were the farthest you could get from the band too

    Service was ok. The server never came back to ask if we wanted another glass of wine. The food was under seasoned Saratoga chips had no salt at all and the Rib steak even though prime grade was low on flavor and low on salt. the most egregious thing was the steak was served on a chipped platter
