   The food was very good but came out not cold but not hot. We had veal oscar which was a lovely dish, but it was barely warm. Waiter was very nice but over booked and barely came to our table. Over priced for what you get. Noisy, but a great concept to have dinner in a old house..Love that. But they have to staff better and make sure food is warm at least.

   Service was unacceptably slow. We were seated quickly, but, waited 40 minutes before someone came to the table. We ordered wine and it was another 15 minutes before that arrived and that’s when we were served water. We ordered an appetizer and the waitress said she would bring over bread and take our dinner order. The bread did not come. After another 20 minutes and watching the server talking with the table next to us about her experiences with her x, she came over to take our order. We asked about the bread and she said that someone did not fill the warmer so she was waiting for it to warm up. We said we would just take it as it is. It still took another 10 minutes for it to arrive. The food came after another 40 minutes. I did not mind that as much as I understand they prepare everything from scratch. The food was hot but I can’t say it was great. Overall I was pretty disappointed and do not plan to go back.

   Our party of four had a great time. Atmosphere, service, and food were all wonderful. Our entrees were cooked to our delight - filet mignon and seafood dishes. Our favorite go to place for special occasions. Highly recommended.

   HOW CAN A RESTAURANT BE OUT OF SO MANY ITEMS AT 7:00 PM ON A SATURDAY NIGHT? Lobster Meat, Scallops and for one of their top desserts BANANAS?????? Something is very wrong here!!!!

   Hello John, Chef J here. Unfortunately I slipped and fell on ice and ended up in the hospital and did not get my seafood order in on time for delivery, so yes low on scallops, salmon and cod loins. I stopped buying Lobster meat lately due to the outrageous cost, almost $3 an ounce. Banana foster yes delicious, but sold more than usual on Saturday night, so yes we ran out of banana's. Next visit I'll make you one on me. Hope you enjoyed whatever you ended up ordering.

   We celebrated a birthday tonight. The restaurant went over and above to recognize that, decorating the table with birthday decor. Each course included a birthday candle on the plate of our birthday guest. Our waiter was informative, attentive and had a great sense of humor. Our appetizers and dinners were delicious as well as generous. Cocktails were well made. Our courses were perfectly timed. We have been to Villaggio several times and have never been disappointed. We have been seated each time in different rooms of the restaurant. All have charm and character. Highly recommend.

    It was New Years Eve and I think they were short staffed. Our waitress was adorable was very helpful with the menu and made great suggestions. She clearly was working very hard. Her “boss” seemed to be a bit stressed and let us as well as other guests know that they were extremely booked and that there was to be no dilly dally. At one point I told our waitress we were in no rush and her boss looked at me and said, “well, we are.” I also believe I heard him say to his staff, “move ‘em in, move ‘em out.” Other than that the food was great, the ambiance was lovely and we would go back. The chef clearly knows what he is doing! FYI, The pistachio ricotta cake was to die for!!!!!!!
