Our first luxury dinner at a hotel restaurant was a delightful experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the staff friendly, and the dishes delicious. While it was slightly expensive, it was well worth it for the overall experience.

The service is very nice and professional. My only note is that the rice porridge is not porridge but more of a rice bowl. Porridge should have more liquid in it, more like a thick soup.

Very nice restaurant for a before theater. We had a great lunch. Burgers and polenta were excellent with friendly service and very cool ambiance. Highly recommend.

The food is good. The service was also good however they never asked if we wanted anything else like a dessert or another drink etc. Prices were on the higher side but that’s to be expected. The dining area is small but all in all the ambience was very pleasant.

The huevos rancheros were fantastic. The service was terrific. We had a couple of issues that had nothing to do with the restaurant, and they went out of their way to help us. The restaurant is also only a block from the Orpheum Theatre, making it the perfect place to get a meal before or after. We will definitely be returning.

We are a group that has season tickets to the Best of Broadway and like to go to Villon when the show is at the Orpheum. The restaurant is lovely but we ALL wish they would change the menu occasionally or have specials. The choices are rather limited. Would it be possible to extend the breakfast time to noon? At least we would have more options.

We just had a quick lunch before we went to a Broadway play and my husband had the hamburger which he said was pretty much lukewarm and not very appealing. His french fries were delicious. I had the club sandwich and french fries and agreed about the french fries while my club sandwich was just okay. It was not anything unique or extremely flavorful. The staff was very pleasant and charming.

Been coming here for a few years when I'm in town. The menu is limited, but the food is good, service is excellent, location is perfect for my appt at UC Law SF. I'll be back next year.
