   birthday boy was late and they didn't mind waiting for him to get there for us to order and food was quick and staff were nice

   Party of 6 on a Monday night. We started off with 2 appetizers: shrimp cocktail which was only 4 small shrimp, and the bruschettone which would have been better if the focaccia it came on was at least warm. Everyone at my table other than myself ordered from the “cheese wheel bar” which we thought would be mixed table-side in a cheese wheel. We were wrong, instead everyone received cold pasta and an explanation that the dishes were spun in the cheese wheel behind the scenes. I personally ordered the dry aged porterhouse which was surprisingly delicious and perfectly cooked hence the 3 star review for only successfully completing 1 of the 6 entrees ordered. I was listening in to the couple beside us who was also questioning why their dish was not served table side as they also ordered from the “cheese wheel bar”. Overall, the food here was dull and not as we expected from an Italian restaurant, I’ve had cheaper Italian food that tasted brighter and more flavorful.

   Maybe the best salmon I have ever had.The lasagna and the stuffed gnocchi were fabulous as well.

   We had an amazing special occassion dinner. Our waiter, Antonio provided us exceptional service, treating us like we were the only table he was waiting. The food was next level good. I highly recommend the Burrata beet salad! We will definitely come back on our next visit to San Diego.

   Made reservations and showed up a few minutes before to check in. There was a line of 20+ people waiting outside. When I asked the hostess where to go since I had a reservation for 7:30, she stated that ALL the people waiting had reservations and that it would be a minimum 30 minute wait. Didn’t even bother to stick around and wound up leaving. I understand being a few minutes behind but a minimum 30 minute wait on top of a reservation is wild. Plus there was no way all 20+ people were going to be seated within 30 minutes, the restaurant was already full. Poor service and won’t be back.

   The line to speak to the hostess stand was long and chaotic and you had to wait even if you had a reservation. There were people going table to table trying to sell you a photo package and there was even a woman selling roses came inside which felt invasive and unpleasant. Service was extremely slow and we had to prompt the staff for reminders about things we ordered a few times. Our waiter was very friendly and the food was great

   Overbooked reservations. Waited 30 minutes for a table with reservations and got sat outside next to the road with another table.

   Most of what we ordered came out cold. Too many bus boys, waiters etc fawning over you every 30 seconds. This is a place where they wanna get you in and turn over the table in an hour

    Tight space but fun vibe. Was disappointed that we did not get to experience the cheese wheel table side pasta making that they are known for due to place being too busy and not a lot of space. We ordered the meatballs, carbonara and parpadelle bolognese. Our fave is the bolognese, carbonara needed black pepper or something..:overall great experience!
