    Everything was absolutely perfect, from the moment our waiter, Trey, introduced himself to the moment we ordered our Uber and stepped outside. An absolutely wonderful experience. Chef’s preparations from roasted oysters and delicious gumbo to short ribs and blackened catfish were off the charts delicious. Highly recommend and will absolutely be back.

    This was our third time visiting Virtue. We are originally from New Orleans and Birmingham and had friends in from Memphis. Virtue is hands down the best southern food restaurant in Chicago. It has become one of our favorite restaurants and the one we recommend the most. Not only is the food outstanding, the waitstaff were incredible. So much fun!

    Had a quality time of dining at Virtue this week. The Sazarac was spirit forward, just how I like it and service was prompt and attentive. I ordered the gizzard for my appetizer, it's been since childhood since I've had this and it didn't disappoint - seasoned, crunchy flour coating with a tender bite on a bed of rice. Ordered the short rib and it was tender to the touch. cut it with a fork, no need to use a nice because it just easily came apart. Well seasoned, different flavor notes and comfort on a cold winter day. The mashed potato bed with spinach was a great accompaniment and added to this meal. Definitely getting the short ribs again.

    Virtue is a first pic for fine dining or soul enriching experience in the midwestern or Great Lakes Region the United States. I have dined in perhaps 40 states. Nothing compares to Virtue. Do your family, friends, and yourself a favor and experience Virtue.

    Very enjoyable meal! Service was excellent! We enjoyed the gumbo, fried tomatoes, salmon, and trout. I would recommend this restaurant without hesitation.
