Booked through open table. Got there and absolutely unbelievable the restaurant was shut for refurbishment. No ansaphone message. Thanks to all of you for a very disappointing and expensive night. All of which could have been avoided. WHY WERE WE ABLE TO BOOK this ???? And received a booking confirmation ?????

We have eaten at Viva L'italia previously and thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the service. On this occasion the owner called to say the restaurant was being refurbished so our booking was transferred to the Italian Steak House - his other restaurant in Windsor. The food was average - and my order of carbonara with no cream came with cream. The homemade tiramisu was more like a cake, was smothered in chocolate sauce and had little flavour. The waiters were friendly but I came away disappointed. To be fair, we only paid 50% for the carbonara, but it would have been better to be served what had been ordered. I really want to like this place but I'm not sure I would return.

It wasn't bad, but there was nothing special about it. We were the only people in there on a Saturday night but the service wasn't particularly attentive. Wouldn't actively recommend it but if it was the only place open or available I'd go back.

Table right next to kitchen where there was an overwhelming smell of burning garlic. Had to send my girlfriends rump steak back as it was very tough! My meats were dry and over cooked! Couldn't wait to get out to be honest with you.

From the outside it's a bit shabby & needs decorating but once inside we were amazed by the food prawn cocktail freshly baked garlic bread excellent the mains were lasagne pizzas freshly cooked & much tastier than the chains x would of stayed for dessert but was going to the theatre definitely coming back x must go for fabulous pizzas

Nice atmosphere, but got our order wrong, which was a shame. They offered to replace, but my wife didn’t want to eat alone, so she kept her dish, as I would of eaten mine. I think they should of offered to do both meals again. They charged me for the original meal, but I think they should of not charged for it, I won’t be going there again, just seemed like a posh cafe really.

My partner and I booked a table for pre theatre dinner. We both had pizzas which were lovely and so big that no starter was needed. Food and drinks were very reasonably priced. Great for quick service and no worrying about being late for the theatre. We'll definitely go back.
