   Vulcania offers a creative decor with a long list of tantalizing starters and entrees. The best pizza and pastas in Mammoth. A beautiful bar with well executed cocktails. Attentive service. Well priced. This is a restaurant you will keep coming back to.

   This is a fun and creative take on Americana Italian, the presentation is fun and the service staff was very knowledgeable about the menu…..Sam was fantastic and his recommendations were terrific. We brought our own wine, the corkage was very reasonable. This was a fun experience, if you are expecting traditional/regional Italian be prepared for something new. This menu is meant to challenge your tastebuds in a very good way. Enjoy!!

   I would rate the food here as 3.5/5. However nothing extraordinary. The arrabiata rigatoni was on a creamier side compared to more tomato centric traditional sauce. The Margarita pizza was basic, can't go wrong with that. Their Rye Gnochetti was on the saltier side and also spicy (not mentioned in their menu) - the salt of the overall dish was not balanced with the salt of their guanciale. All their pasta was 'al dente'. Our biggest beef was the service (Note: the servers were very polite but missed some basic essentials of hospitality). Typically you expect them to call for last order but when we wanted to place an order we were told their kitchen was close. Specially when you are visiting as guest and on vacation, its not a pleasant feeling. Their tiramisu was well admired on online reviews but didnt find it extraordinary. Was slight to sweet then what you expect and was over powered by their mascaporne which almost felt like overpowering whipped cream. Ambience of this place is good, but if they can improve their service and food quality, this place has a great potential.

   We are repeat customers. The food was great. Our server, Sam, gave us great recommendations. We loved everything. The portions are a bit small but very flavorful. We still have a hard time with the entrees all coming out at different times. While this ensures that everything is fresh an hot, unless you are sharing entrees it is awkward for some to be eating and others to be waiting.

    We ordered pumpkin pie pizza. Server said it was a squash sauce which sounded yummy. We were expecting something different and it was just a pizza with some pepitas and barely discernible pumpkin. No taste. Caesar salad good. Gnocchi pasta was good but gloppy. Sauce too heavy. Somewhat disappointed.
