Review for Courses, second floor dining: This was our second experience...after the first, we said we'd be back, and it was just as good if not better! Appalachian Harvest menu this time was delicious and based on local farm-to-table fruits/veggies. We ordered the glazed carrot/turnip over labneh, a creamy Middle Eastern yogurt...a new taste we loved. We also ordered the lamb (well seasoned) and the rich-and-creamy chicken/herb spaetzle, along with the walnut crusted muscadine torte. All yum. Ambiance/decor is urban rustic, with nice window views. Very attentive server. We'll head to the rooftop soon for the outdoor experience! Fire pits!

The food and drinks we had from the new fall menu were delicious! We love the venue and want to see them succeed. Continue with this kind of quality and flavors and it will take off! It was also nice to be able to hold a conversation without having to yell over the noise of other diners and loud music in this quieter environment.

Very exciting for Johnson City. We had a cocktail on the rooftop bar first. View was nice, drinks were good, but not spectacular for the price. The second floor restaurant was exceptional. It has the vibe of a Jose Andres restaurant. Not in the tradition Spanish sense like Katie’s place in Asheville, but in the way one can order a variety of small and large plates to create a unique dining experience. The quality of the food, the willingness of the chef to try interesting ingredient combinations, and the care in preparation made for an excellent meal. Our server, Kyle, was knowledgeable and helpful in our choices.

We had dinner at Courses restaurant in Watauga Brewing company last night. They have a new menu that has a variety of Asian inspired dishes that have fresh ingredients from local sources. Our overall favorite dish was the Wild Mushroom Terrine, but every dish we had was superb. Our waiter was super helpful and attentive without being overbearing. I highly recommend it! We will definitely go back.

Courses restaurant at Watauga Brewing Company is absolutely a new favorite! Locally sourced food, well prepared and pleasingly presented. White tablecloths, but not stodgy at all: a great combination of warmth and elegance. I had the small plate with fresh veggies and hummus, and it was absolutely delicious. I also loved the medium plate, which was a mushroom and sausage ravioli. The desserts were fabulous, too. I was treated to a taste of each fig-based creation, and they were both beautiful and scrumptious. This is a great place for people who really care about the quality of their food and where it comes from. It's a place where the food should be savored and appreciated. Hats off to the brewer and the chef. This may become a go-to destination for special occasions. Can't wait to see the fall menu! I will be back.

The food at Courses is outstanding. Everything we ordered was exceptional with the exception of one steak which was replaced without charge. I highly recommend Courses for date night or any other time.

The newly reimagined Courses restaurant at Watauga Brewing Company impressed us! The menu, which rotates periodically and was a Tuscan theme when we were there, was creative. Our appetizers and risotto were great. In fact, all of the menu items looked enticing, so we’ll be back to try more before the menu’s theme rotates from Italian to Eastern European in October. The service was great as well. The waiter was attentive and seemed to have a passion for the restaurant’s success.

Thanks for leaving a great review! We'll pass this along to the chefs and servers, who are constantly working to fine-tune our menu and provide excellent service. We'd love to see you again soon.
