WC Bloomsbury, Clapham's Sister venue continues the legacy of beguiling and bewitching spaces, descending from unassuming entrances on pedestrian level in an Ex Victorian Water Closet. Listed on Historic England’s 'buildings at risk register’ we have preserved and respected the 120 year old space, paying homage to the surrounding area’s rich history, creating a warm and inviting wine, cocktail and charcuterie bar.

The venue offers rest and respite from the streets of London, with a considered drinks menu that has something for everyone - be that a glass from the thoughtful and eclectic wine list with over 30 sold by the glass or from a list of 16 signature cocktails.

WC Bloomsbury’s food offering has been created to complement the drink selection. Charcuterie and cheese is sacred here: sharing boards & a selection of small plates - perfect for grazing, we have several plant based, gluten/dairy free options to cater for all dietary requirements.

We look forward to welcoming you soon!

Dreadful! Should have walked out before the nibbles arrived (they took 35 minutes to come) Toilets were a disgrace. Food was awful including the piece of warbortuns bread we got with the slices of cheap meat and morsels of cheese, both grapes were ok

Cool venue, friendly staff. The wine list is a bit small for even a small wine bar, and the 'cheap' end of the list is even smaller. It's nice that many wines are available by the carafe, though, and everything I tried was good quality. Food is high quality, although the charcuterie boards across London are shrinking alarmingly. Shrinkflation indeed - it's lucky wine bottles are standard sizes. It's the same everywhere, but a sharing board for two is closer to generous nibbles than light meal. The real issue is the heating, or lack of it. It's winter. It's an underground venue. It has a curtain instead of a door. I expect there's some weird practical reason for this but it's an issue. Does the curtain stay closed? No. Do people close it behind them when coming and going? No. Does anyone who can see the doorway therefore have freezing cold feet all evening? Yes. I'd recommend this as a very fun place to meet up and grab a drink. I'd not recommend it in mid November if you are sat in any of the 6 tables nearest the door.

A really quirky and fun venue. I’ve been to the Clapham one before but was new to the Bloomsbury venue. The sharing boards were delicious if not a little small for what you pay, but I expected this in central London. We had one dish that was really unpleasant, a “baked” cheese with berries but the cheese had clearly been microwaved rather than baked and the berries had been frozen, leaving a strange juice at the bottom of the dish. We mentioned it to the waiting staff to see if it was supposed to be like this, they apologised and said a number of people had said the same thing. They removed it from our bill and really went above and beyond. The staff totally made the experience for us and we were very looked after. We had 3 wines - a white, a red and an orange, and all 3 were gorgeous. We were very impressed. There’s no other venue like this in London!

Poor, rude service and uncomfortable chairs. There is also (rather ironic given its setting) only a single toilet for all patrons, so you can end up waiting quite a while (the lock of the toilet is also quite loose). Didn't eat (not many options) but the cocktail was distinctly average. I wouldn't go back. Not worthy of London.

Very bad value for a money - £28 for a mixed board which came with 4 tiny pieces of cheese, 4 slices of bread and a tiny selection of meat. Very disappointing
