Dine in our highly acclaimed restaurant, The Dining Room which has stunning views over the Yorkshire Dales or take advantage of The Gun Room with its cosy snug ambience and open inglenook fireplace. Or enjoy Private Dinning for parties up to 18 people in The Glass House. We pride ourselves in serving a mouth-watering selection of dishes, most with locally sourced Yorkshire ingredients.

We also have a specials board to showcase the talent and passion of our chefs who also delight locals and guests with their themed culinary evenings serving dishes such as fresh Seafood and Prosecco. We serve the same menu’s throughout all our dining rooms and outside on our decking area and welcome you to join us for special occasions such as Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve.

Lovely traditional pub atmosphere with excellent portions of high quality food. Service was efficient, polite and unobtrusive. Water provided without needing to ask. our party had 6 different main courses and all were delicious.

4 of us having starters and main courses. Good and different real ales to choose from. We all had seafood starters from the specials board, except for my son who had mozzarella sticks. I'd have liked a little more seafood (but I'm greedy!). Very nice. The chicken burger was a little dry but otherwise very much enjoyed by my son. My wife and I had the Special Pig's Cheeks and Black pudding. VERY nice indeed!

Great car parking with ample spaces. Lovely old building with super ambience inside. Warm & welcoming team and great food. Was extremely noisy initially as a very large party booked into the room at the rear arrived and seemed to be competing over who could make the loudest noise - luckily things quietened down when they went in to dine. We’ll be back after Xmas!

Really liked it here. I was a single woman dining on my own and felt very comfortable. Friendly service. The bread with olive oil and balsamic as a starter was divine.

Lovely country Inn. Tables well set out and not too close together. Great value food that was well presented with generous portions. Staff were all extremely pleasant and attentive. Would recommend.
