Located in the Greengate shopping center in Short Pump, West Coast Provisions offers an inventive approachable American Fusion menu specializing in shellfish, fresh fish, sushi and steak. It has a big city feel with a sleek décor, tall ceilings, large windows, exposed brick, a fireplace, a private dining room and one of Richmond’s largest outdoor patios. We've come to appreciate West Coast as a close, reliable purveyor of truly fresh ingredient-focused, great dinners. We've even ordered (beef) filet there. (And it was great!) We usually vier toward the raw fish/seafood items and vegetable salads, but the last couple of fish tacos and/or s "simply prepared" salmon with vegetables have proven the kitchen's skills beyond promised "Aligot" potatoes that are little more than predictably "mashed." And there are occasional reliances on showy kitchen flourishes -- like a hearty scattering of fresh thyme leaves on roasted potatoes --for which a MUCH lighter hand would serve to taste if not, so much, to appearance. But our past few months' experiences with raw seafood, roasted or grilled entrees, deep-fried fish tacos, and -- most recently -- filet of beef have been outstanding in creativity and consistency. We do not want to take this ostensibly "seafood" outpost while they serve so many dependably excellent salads, sandwiches, steaks, etc. West Coast is an amazing neighborhood gathering place -- one that has MUCH better than "neighborhood gathering spot" food. Go for the food. All of it..

It’s been a while seen we last visited WCP. Our recollection was it had good food. This time we were very disappointed with the quality of the food and service.

Great experience overall. Had an issue with a fish entree, waiter and manager handled it quickly and efficiently. Highly recommended

Food is always good and the atmosphere is great. After dinner we grabbed a night cap at the bar before heading home. Was a fun night.

Service was great as usual. Jackson took great care of us and helped work with the kitchen to tweak our order to help with dietary issues. He was awesome.

We sat at the bar with Sam the bartender, excellent service and the Ruby Red Oyster were delicious., the fried calamari was perfect . Couple of dirty martinis made for a nice Saturday lunch . Thanks Sam

We ordered the rock fish which was very dry! The roasted potatoes were not traditional roasted potatoes! They were small squares with some not thoroughly cooked, not crispy and overloaded with pepper! Very disappointed with our meal.

The food was great, and the service was good. Ambiance was very nice. $20 for a glass of basic sauvignon blanc and $9 for a basic pilsner was I little unexpected...
