West Plains Bistro is a classic European style bistro that offers a taste of Paris in Burlington style.                                                     A friend and I , this being her first visit, had an enjoyable visit. Staff is friendly and efficient. The restaurant is set up nicely. The menu has a number of options and the food is tasty.

                                                    A wonderful lunch - we started with the soup of the day (potato & leek). We then shared the roasted brussel sprouts and crab cakes. All delicious! Ambience warm and cozy. Server was excellent as well.

                                                    We ate appetizers as we weren't famished. They exceeded our expectations. The French onion soup was cheesy, nicely baked and the broth was good. I had a vegetable soup with pureed beet and a root vegetable. It was very satisfying. The mussels prepared in a coconut, curry broth accompanied with some Fresh bread for dipping was excellent. It was served in the perfect cassoulet. And finally, I usually stay away from desserts but this lemon/vanilla cheese cake with gelatin top was moist, not too dense - 10/10. The server didn't push wine, alcohol or mains as we weren't in the mood. But there will be a next time for sure; the place has its own unique homespun ambience and warmth.

From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting ambiance set the perfect tone for the evening. The decor, reminiscent of a charming European bistro, added to the experience, making it feel like a cozy escape. The food was outstanding, exceeding all expectations.                                                     Fabulous food and service. Our server (sorry I forgot her name) was very attentive without being intrusive. She recommended the coconut cream pie and it was amazing! We will definitely be back!
