At West Side Bar & Grill, we feature popular local dishes prepared “plantation style.”

Most of our recipes have been handed down from generation to generation from family members and friends who worked on the plantations both here on O`ahu and on Molokai.

Plantation workers of various ethnicities shared food with one another which resulted in delicious combinations that exist nowhere else on Earth.

We’re so lucky to live Hawai`i, but even luckier that these dishes have been handed down from generations before us.

A true testament that “the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.”

Their covid mask wearing had much to be desired. The servers kept pulling their mask down and not have their mouth and nose covered. Other than that the service was good and the food is delicious. I would go again but would wait to covid gets better

West Side basically provides drive in food at sit-down prices. The menu is very basic, much less variety than most menus. The food is pretty ok, but not much of a value for what it costs. The service is friendly, but very slow. It took us over 45 minutes to get our food. Frankly, you’ll find better tasting food, greater variety, and much faster service at most of the drive ins in Hawaii and at a fraction of the cost.

Best garlic fries I've ever had. It was nice and crispy even with garlic and butter. We picked on it the entire time we were there and it never was soggy. Magic fries!
