A Finalist for Best Wine Tasting in Ventura County by the LA Times, West Tasting Room is a wine bar and light-fare restaurant showcasing boutique wineries throughout the West Coast regions of California, Oregon and Washington. Our wine list rotates weekly as we pour 20+ wines by the glass, offer a build-your-own wine flight experience and pair it all perfectly with charcuterie boards, artisanal pizzas and salads.

Our wine selection varies from natural wines like Pét-Nats to Burgundian-Style Oregon Pinot Noirs to Napa Valley Cabernets and more. Try one of our guests' favorite pizzas like our Burrata, Prosciutto and Honey or our Leek & Ricotta. We offer wine & cheese pairing packages, host monthly Winemaker events, and even teach wine classes led by one of our six sommeliers on staff.

All wines poured by the glass are also available to purchase from our bottle shop. Pizza and charcuterie are also available to-go.

Please note that we are a 21+ over establishment.

This was our first time going here and being huge wine fans, we were excited to try it. Boy were we disappointed. First of all, upon walking in it's IMPOSSIBLE to hear anyone in this space. It's honestly as loud as a nightclub and it's just a small little strip mall space. I'm guessing it's the acoustics or something but it's intense. The wine list is meh, especially for a place calling itself a "wine tasting" place. Very few wines, nothing great. No one explaining them or excited to introduce you to anything new. The menu is limited but that seems appropriate for what it is. We had a charcuterie plate and one of the salads and the food was fine, though nothing too exciting. But the worse part was the service. Our waitress took our order and basically we never saw her again. Someone else dropped off the food. We were never asked if we needed anything, or if everything was okay. Never. Which seems especially strange since I told her it was our first time there. I had to flag down a busboy to get us more water, twice. And later it seemed she was actually gone as she was nowhere to be seen, so when a man walked by (manager? don't know), I had to ask him for more wine. To top it off, there is a very strong burning smell from their pizza oven that made both of our eyes water and sting from the minute we walked in. Almost like when fires are happening around here and it hurts to be outside. It was very noticeable to both of us and we left with red, stinging eyes. Very subpar. Will not be back, nor would I recommend it.

Always excellent. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable, prompt. Food is delicious. Wine selection is always interesting, reasonable. I can't get to West often enough.

Great food and wine variety. Service is horrendous. Waited 30 minutes for a charcuterie board, pizza came 1st although we were told they can only make one pizza at a time due to having only one oven. If you can not staff or have the appropriate equipment Don’t serve food. I will continue to take the drive to Wally’s in SM.

Hi Vina, As the Owner, I am truly sorry for the experience you had. We know the exact night you visited us and it was our busiest night ever since being open for three years. We had a huge unexpected rush from an event that was happening across the street and yes, we were honestly unprepared for it service wise. I can 100% assure you that evening was in no way our standard for service as you can read from our 4.9 rating on multiple platforms. I do hope you'll come back and ask to chat with the Owner so we can make sure you receive the quality of service that we pride ourselves on for our guests.

Friendly, helpful staff. Liked the “build your own wine flight” option, tried wines I hadn’t heard of before. Good food, especially liked the charcuterie board and the olive, feta, onion pizza.

Had a great time, really enjoyed the wines, but what made the experience great was the service we got from Lindsey. She was awesome! Attended to our every need.

First time at this quaint little wine bar. I had a reservation and was immediately greeted by Amy, the owner. She was gracious, hospitable, and knowledgeable regarding wine selection and food pairing suggestions. All staff were attentive and kind throughout our experience. I’ve already told two more friends about this place, and will be returning. It’s a great place to meet before attending events at BAPAC. Thank you, Amy.

We love West!!! It’s a favorite stop on a Fun Friday or a Sunday Funday. The staff is always great and friendly!!! The pizza is great and charcuterie is a must!!!

We had a great first experience, celebrating our 37th wedding anniversary. The owner, Amy, greeted us. The service was impeccable and the food was outstanding. There is a plethora of wines to choose from. We will definitely go back to support this local establishment.
