The place is beautiful, service very good drinks good . Food not that good. Would go back only for drinks.

Went here with my wife for Valentine's Day (day after) dinner. We sat down and were greeted with chips and salsa and a glass of champagne each, nice little treat. We then ordered our drinks, Barro and Sangria. Both good, but the Barro was very pricey, $22. Ordered an appetizer, the Chicken Empanadas served with chimichurri. Very good. Then entrees. She got the Skirt steak served with salad and mashed potatoes. I got the 20oz ribeye served with a salad. The steaks were excellent and cooked perfectly to our requests, medium and rare. Even the side salads were good. Mashed potatoes were just okay, kind of cold. Ordered some more drinks; I got two old fashioneds (not on the menu but the waitress replied by saying "house old fashioned" and asked what whiskey I wanted). Whiskey choices were limited, so i chose Whistlepig. Ended with a Chocolate Mousse cake and espresso martini. The cake was excellent. We were both talking about how much we enjoyed the meal and how we definitely would be back. And then the bill came. Now mind you, this is a high end steak house with high end prices. They charged a 3% credit card surcharge, and a $3 each old fashioned surcharge. I couldn't believe it. I understand some small mom and pop type diners/ restaurants need to charge credit card fees, but a steak house?! And a $3 charge to make an old fashioned. Never, ever, seen that, even in the most casual restaurants and dive bars. So the old fashioneds I ordered came out to be $21 each. That's a downtown / Vegas price! I don't mind spending money for good food, but I don't like being ripped off, especially when I'm not told about it ahead of time. So because of the rip off, we will not be back. It's unfortunate because the food was very good and we would have returned otherwise.

This place is now on my top 10 favorite restaurants in the Chicago area. From the appetizers to the lamb & carrot puree to the dessert, I enjoyed every bite. The owner needs to hurry up and move the restaurant to the city.

Everything was great but the steaks were very chewy especially for the price you pay.

Service was very good. Food was fair mixed drinks very good. Overall very expensive. This is not a downtown restaurant but it had the downtown premium cost tag. Too many other better restaurants in the area at reasonable price. Website advertised a Holiday Happy Hour discount but restaurant charged full price stating because it was the Holiday. They must have forgotten to correct it online at the consumers expense.

Food was awesome, service was even better. Server made some OUTSTANDING drinks (watermelon and tamarindo).

Not what i expect .. no glass water bottles , only 2-3 different white whiness .. no salads , i mean a lot of stuff

Servers were very attentive. Food was delicious. Only criticism was I wish they lowered the lighting at some point during the night. It got darker for a chiller mood but later turned bright again.
