We booked to treat ourselves to a nice meal out. The ambience was perfect. The food was delicious, although portion size was maybe smaller than we are used to - had to snack when we came home. The service was good. An error with our drinks order was quickly rectified. Would return here.

Great selection for everyone on the menu. Delicious food, not a drop was left by any of us. Lovely evening enjoyed by all. Special mention for Jo who looked after us all extremely well. Staff excellent. Superb service. Thank you to everyone. We will be back again soon.

A great night was had by everyone. Excellent food, service and hospitality. Eat here regularly and have never been disappointed. Friendly and love the charm of the place.

One of our best meals on our 2 week trip from London to Edinburgh to isle of Skye to seaside town near Berwick Tweed First place to offer salmon. Three of us enjoyed Cajan flavored fillet. In very small town of Swinton, Scotland not far from Aldwick and Bambaugh castles.

We were looking forward to our meal at the wheatsheaf as we had heard good things said about it so we thought valentine was a good time to try it we had a meal or two there a couple of years ago and it was not great so it was time to try it again. We each had three courses for a set price of £35 with a glass fizz thrown in ,I had mussels to start which were good could of done with more bread for the sauce followed by duck breast with dalphanoise potatoes and veg the skin was not at all crispy but the meat was good I had pavlova for pudding which was chewy just how I like it overall it was really good and value for money the service was very good also so yes I would go back
