Welcome to a corner of the French Mediterranean. Nestled between London’s St James and Soho, Whitcomb’s serves modern interpretations of classic dishes found along the sunny stretches of the French and Italian rivieras. Simple yet elegant cuisine, prepared à la minute.

As a West End restaurant, Whitcomb’s is ideal for pre- and post-theatre dining, set just a stone’s throw away from theatres such as the London Coliseum, Gielgud Theatre, Duke of York’s Theatre, and many more. Whitcomb’s also serves a delicious Express Lunch menu, perfect for business lunches or a break from shopping on the nearby Regent Street and Bond Street.

Join us to bask in the sunshine on our summer terrace by Veuve Clicquot, a spot for alfresco dining on Leicester Square, serving Champagne tasting flights, cocktails, oysters and fresh cuisine.
Before your dining experience, we invite you to enjoy a pre-dinner drink in the neighbouring gin bar Joshua's Tavern or in the Japanese rooftop garden, 8 at The Londoner.

We had found this restaurant only due to a google search of places with good NYE fireworks views. The link took us to the ground floor restaurant rather than the rooftop bar/restaurant and we did not catch this error. Upon finding out there would be no view, we tried many times to get a refund on our deposit, with no success at all. The service was horrible. From the moment we met our rude and unprofessional server Tanvir, he lied repeatedly. we had to ask for help every course and ask for water refills on our own as he never checked on us on his own, he only rudely stopped by with no pleasant words when we hailed him down. We told the server we had to leave by 11:30-40 as we now had made new hard plans to go see the NYE fireworks. he knew this for 2 hours and when it was 11:30 we still had not received the last course. We had to ask for this many times to many people. IT created a lot of stress and anger for us and ruined the whole night and our once in a lifetime trip to celebrate our 25th anniversary. Further, it was clear our server was homophobic or racist as he treated us totally differently than all other straight groups. We will be taking further action, and actions via social media, legal and otherwise. We never had time to eat our dessert at all and still were not given any discount. As influencers digitally, with legal and media teams that work for us full time we will be sharing all matters and evidence globally.

First off the night started on a bad note because we had 2 separate reservations for the same time (part of 4 and party of 5) with friends, who called and stopped by several times in advance to request they seat us next to each other - that didn’t happen and staff magically had no record of this request. So this essentially ruined our night out with friends. The food was forgettable and overpriced. Staff was young and did not have the caliber to manage a high end restaurant experience. For £195 set menu, I expected a much more elevated experience.

The service was extremely poor. When we arrived we placed a table for 2 beside another couple less that 1 foot away. We were close to touching shoulders. It was an effectively a table of 4 with a little gap pretending to be a table of 4. The attention to detail as well was very poor where on several we had 2-3 times for our drinks which they kept forgetting. Additionally we asked for the bill 3 times and still it never arrived until I went up. This is beyond embarrassing for £195 a head before drinks and 15% gratuity. I made it clear that I would not pay the 15% gratuity as the service was embarrassing. Completely ridiculous to even put a 15% gratuity charge onto the bill for the service, the lack of initiative and integrity to keep the 15% gratuity on the bill when it should have been take off without me asking was poor. If had not done that we would have spent £560. This was our first night away and first date night away as husband and wife on our honeymoon and we left completely and utterly flat, upset, disappointed and emotional that our one in a lifetime special evening was a complete and utter disaster.

We spent our New Year’s Eve dinner (2024-2025) at The WhiteComb’s, and it was the worst experience ever. I strongly do not recommend it. Operationally, they failed to find the reservation we had made in advance. The service was inconsistent, with a clear push for additional consumption. The time between courses was extremely rushed! Overall, the food was good but a place to avoid.

The food and service were excellent. I had lamb cutlets with potato mouse, absolutely delicious . The lamb was cooked medium rare, so tender. My son had the ribeye and commented it was excellent, served with peppercorn sauce and big chunky chips. My wife had the mushroom risotto, also commenting on the quality. Service was excellent with attentive and polite staff, highly recommended.

The food was amazing. Our group of 5 shared lamb chops, filet mignon, chicken, green bean salad, spinach and mushrooms, everything was cooked to perfection--tender, delightful seasonings!

Lower back room is too noisy and lacks ambience. Christmas dinner was mixed bag. Some very tasty food, but cod was odd. Why a palette cleanser after a fruity and acidic starter of crudo in a passion fruit sauce?

The festive Christmas at Whitcomb’s was indeed that - the food was beautiful and delicious, the staff and chef accommodated my husband’s gluten allergy, we really enjoyed our dinner there.
