Au White Horse Tavern, nous nous efforçons de créer une nouvelle expérience culinaire contemporaine dans le plus ancien restaurant d'Amérique. Comme les générations avant nous, nous servons du poisson frais, des palourdes et des homards de la baie de Narragansett ainsi que des produits fraîchement récoltés dans les fermes de la région de Rhode Island. Nous avons rejoint la scène culinaire dynamique de RI pour vous servir les meilleurs fromages artisanaux, miels, morceaux de bœuf et du poisson local fraîchement pêché - le tout dans une taverne coloniale ouverte depuis plus de 350 ans. Alors venez nous rendre visite pour goûter au Rhode Island du XXIe siècle dans notre taverne du XVIIe siècle. Vous ne serez pas déçu ! Une tenue correcte est exigée, de type country club ou tenue d'affaires décontractée avec chemise. Les vestons ne sont pas obligatoires. To start we had a 645 reservation party of two and we called and said we would be about 20 minutes late due to snowstorm. Hostess said we have to be there by 7 o’clock, which is their 15 minute window with a table will be given away. We rushed and actually made it there on time but was very frantic. I can understand the 15 minute window table being held if we didn’t call, but calling letting them know, I don’t believe that should’ve been policy. They weren’t going to see the table afterwards, so it should not have been a question of turn. The waiter though nice did not mention any specials, also charge us $8.50 for a cup of decaf coffee, represented us with a large pot. The salmon board was wonderful as well the scallops, the chicken, subbed, brussels sprouts with it, had way too much sauce. Share plates were never put on the table with the appetizer, Runner just dropped it off and left. I am in the industry as well, I was just a little disappointed since we were there once before and had a wonderful time. I think the initial rush started us on a bad foot. Last I left my phone when I return and look at the table and saw the Waiter. They didn’t seem to know anything about it yet. It was at the front desk. On a good note The bearded bus person was very nice and accommodating.

Great restaurant for a romantic winter meal. The large fireplaces with roaring fires, dark colonial interior, and fantastic Beef Wellington and Duck made for a special Valentines meal. And the service was good and not rushed on such a busy night. One constructive recommendation. While your hostess were great, we felt much better dressed than they were. It gave a first impression we did not expect. Maybe they could benefit from work uniform ? Overall, thanks WHT. You always make holiday dinners very special

One dinner was fine, the other disappointing. The steak and frites were good, a lot of frites and arugla but the scallops were rubbery and the rest of the dish was underneath and indistinguishable from one another.

Always a fantastic experience. Food, service and ambiance were superb. Highly recommend this restaurant, it never disappoints!

Dinner was absolutely delicious and wonderful! Would definitely go back again. They also catered to my allergies which was very much appreciated. The service was great and our waitress was very knowledgeable.

We had a really lovely dinner out at the white horse tavern. We had a quiet table facing a large romantic fireplace. We got the lobster bisque to start and beef Wellington and chicken statler for entrees. Both meals were very tender. We also split a delicious super Tuscan bottle of wine. Our server Tim was fantastic - attentive and polite. Would recommend WHT for any special occasion.

Overall experience was lovely. Service was great and quality of food excellent. The only negative is the "fireplace" upstairs near the dining area- I smelled heavily of smoke like I had been at a camp fire.
