Wild Blue is a distinguished Whistler fine-dining establishment that is devoted to Pacific Northwest cuisine, sustainable seafood, and locally-sourced ingredients. It is led by an exceptional team of partners: Neil Henderson, an award-winning Restaurant Director; Chef Alex Chen, 'Iron Chef' and recipient of Chef of the Year accolades by Vancouver Magazine; and Jack Evrensel, a distinguished member of the Restaurant Hall of Fame, who also founded and previously operated Toptable Group.     With Whistler being a premier destination, it makes sense that it would attract Michelin-inspired restaurants. The food, presentation and service was all great but the portion sizes and cost for plates was absurd. While I don’t want to discredit the entire staff from chefs to wait staff, I don’t think the cost and experience was worth it compared to a similar a restaurant like Alo.

    The bar staff is TOP NOTCH. So good to sit and converse with them. The octopus appetizer is my favourite. I had the banana milk punch (clarified , not milky, but a smooth creamy flavour on the tongue. I also had the holiday punch. Perfect balance of tart and fresh. So good.

    Oysters, beets (also beautiful), linguine, and sticky toffee pudding were outstanding. Duck was a bit tough, dangerous crab was very good but wish it was either de-shelled a bit more of served in less ice as it made a mess to eat. Brussel sprouts were good but not mind blowing. Place is very cool but very loud. We had a table for two and had a very hard time hearing each other.

    The lobster entree was amazing !!! Beautiful presentation and so many different flavors to savour. The sticky toffee pudding dessert was fantastic. Our server, Jeremy was excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant

    Outstanding experience overall. The food was great, huge wine list. The Dungeness crab and sable fish were huge highlights. Our server was a bit inexperienced so service was clunky but it wasn’t an issue. Would definitely go back.

    First class food, service and ambiance. Fresh seafood and steaks are fabulous. Love it.

    When we arrived at the restaurant we weren’t sure the process to access parking. We called the restaurant, they immediately answered, and opened the gate. From there you walk up a narrow set of stairs that takes you to the outside front entrance of the restaurant. Took a moment to realize the steel door without any marking on the door was the stairs and the correct way to go. Advise you may want to drop off at the entrance anyone who may have physical disorders. I enjoyed Oysters, Dungeness Crab, and Pacific Striped Bass. Every thing was fresh and well prepared. My only suggestion would be to partially prepare the crab for easy opening. Many people don’t have the skills to harvest the meat and pre-scoring the shells would go along way. Otherwise, an excellent experience with attentive and knowledgeable staff.

    Wild Blue is outstanding, and definitely one of the top restaurants in Whistler. We have been dining in Whistler for fifty plus years, and it is wonderful to see how the food scene has matured. Wild Blue is a great example. All staff, from hostesses to our server Alexi were personable and professional. Alexi’s recommendations, from wine pairing, to oysters, to salad, to entree, were spot on. The dishes were outstanding! The green chili granita accompanying oysters was outrageous. The beet salad delicious, and the sablefish perfect! Great spot, and we will make it a regular stop when in Whistler!
