Impeccable service, wine pairings and food. Hands down one of the best places to eat in NOLA. This was our third time here and first time since they switched from exclusively offering the 5 course tasting menu. I really enjoyed the tasting menu both prior times, but having freedom to choose particular dishes based on our food preferences made for an even better experience. The 5 course with wine pairings is still option, but we wanted to try some of the items that weren't included in tasting. We had several seafood dishes- oysters and tuna to start, drum and crab toast as mains. The use of local seasonal produce here is brilliant- lots of citrus and herbs included in seafood dishes, a delicious green salad and grilled carrots. Creative pairings by the sommelier, Ryan, really makes the meals here exceptional. He offers unique wines from all over the world and knows his stuff. The flavors were incredible on their own, but paired perfectly with food. Fab was our server and took great care of us (again:). She made me feel really special for my birthday. This place is simply outstanding, and every visit unique. I'm already looking forward to our next meal here.

Wild South does not disappoint. The food is always delicious. They accommodate our non-dairy requirements while keeping the food creative and amazing. I get the wine pairing every time I go, which just ties everything together so nicely. The staff is impressively knowledgeable and friendly, the ambience is great and kudos to whoever is choosing the music!

Wild South is the best place to enjoy a cozy, delicious meal focused on Southern cuisine. We went on a Wednesday night the week before Christmas, so it was slower than normal. This allowed us to sit at the chef's table and get unfettered attention from the staff and chefs. We ordered the 5-course prefix menu, and everything was perfectly timed and perfectly portioned, so we left satisfied but not overly full. My husband paired this with their Sherry flight, allowing him to experience a wide range of styles they offer. The first course was an escabeche-esque snapper served on a rice cracker. The second course was an ode to New England-style chowder. Both items were not listed on the menu at the time. We were interrupted by an intermezzo of uni and trout roe-topped chicken schnitzel bites, followed by the vegetable course of broccolini, carrots, and peppers, topped with a pumpkin XO sauce and goat creme fraiche. The main course was a brined and one-week dry-aged pork chop with radicchio and sweet potatoes. Pre-dessert was a refreshing scoop of strawberry sorbet, and dessert was a nod to chocolate mint ice cream but with meringue, toasted sesame, and Creole cream cheese custard with strawberries and poached carrots. Overall, we had a fantastic time, enjoying our camaraderie with the chefs and staff, and I would highly recommend going back and enjoying a meal with friends. We will definitely be back when we return to New Orleans. Thanks again to Mike and his fabulous team!

We had an awesome dinner at Wild South last week. We sat at the bar and asked for recommendations and favorites. The Chili Crab Toast, beef short ribs and pimento cheese with shrimp cracker and country ham were standouts, as was the BTG wine list. Great choices, passionate and informed staff! We ended the evening with a super-cool Amaro tasting. I love Amaro and have never seen such a unique, vast assortment of choices, nor have we ever seen a restaurant offer this. Great dinner, great staff and great experience!

Wild south was one of the best meals we have ever had. We went for my boyfriend’s birthday and the staff went out of their way to make it special. We sat at the counter and love being watch the chiefs prepare the food and getting to learn about the dishes. Highly recommend the restaurant!

Upon our arrival we were greeted by a thoughtful and caring server. Every aspect of the 5-courses and wine was well thought out and balanced. We can’t wait to return!
