   Visited off season 8 pm reservation and restaurant was empty except for 2 tables. Prompt and attentive service. Found the overhead lighting very bright and distracting from the dining experience. All entrees were very nice. Would like to visit in season to see the waterfront and more guests.

   We were a party of four and the restaurant was fairly empty. We were seated and given a menu. It was Restaurant Week but we weren’t provided with a Restaurant Week menu. Our waiter arrived after a few minutes and we asked him for Restaurant Week menus. He brought us four and literally threw them across the table to us. We ordered oysters and they were delicious. We ordered drinks, three of us ordered red wine by the glass. The waiter had no idea which wine was which when he delivered it to the table. Luckily my wife and I could trade glasses so we could enjoy the wine we ordered as the waiter had mixed them up. I’m not sure what the waiter’s problem was, but he would rush of before we could complete a request. This happened several times. Three of us ordered fish, and it was overcooked. The gumbo appetizer was okay. Not very good gumbo. An order of espresso that was requested with dessert was delivered cold after the dessert was finished. When we go out to dinner we have some expectation of receiving good service and good food. We didn’t receive either during this visit.

   Willie G’s Galveston is less crowded, slightly better menu, more attentive staff than Willie G’s in Houston. Our dinners were very good with plenty to take home. We will return

   Our food was AMAZING! And our service was outstanding! Bobby was our waiter and he was the best. Super personable and gave great recommendations! Thank you for a wonderful dining experience!

   Great restaurant we enjoy coming here often when we visit Galveston. We always make a reservation and have no issues getting in. The service is great. The food is really good. They validate your parking ticket.

   Wonderful experience as usual. The spinach salad is awesome. I had the fish special with lobster and crabmeat. The only complaint I have is WG has the smallest oysters on the Island.

    We sit outside with our Chihuahuas every time we go to Willie G's and we get the royal treatment. It's one of our favorite spots.
