Our barroom and restaurant is currently open Friday through Tuesday for dinner and features craft cocktails, light bites and a wide range of seasonal culinary offerings inspired by the bounties of local Hudson Valley farms. Not just farmers in name, we believe in supporting farmers and producers who share in our passion of growing and preparing the finest products imaginable.
*You will be allowed to cancel your reservation at any time but please keep in mind that no shows and reservations canceled within 3 hours of your reservation time will be charged $25 per person. Due to the high number of restaurant reservation cancellations and no shows, our cancellation policy is not flexible, and the fee cannot be waived.
*Pavilion seating is fully covered and sat rain or shine- In the event of inclement weather we cannot guarantee alternative indoor seating

We cordially invite you to join us for our yearly New Years Eve prix fixe dinner, curated by Chef W. Kirby Farmer. We’ll be hosting dinner from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. with limited seatings at each hour, due to high demand we require a credit card to book your reservation. Lovely evening at Wm Farmer & Son. Food was delicious. Red wine (Montalcino) rich and full bodied. Steak superb and salad yummy (but a tad too much green goddess dressing). Bread toasted and yummy. Thank you to our kind and attentive waiter. we will be back!

Wonderful experience. The food was delicious and our server Lee was delightful. Friendly and truly guided our experience with his knowledge and suggestions. A pro’s pro. This place is at the top of everyone’s list for a reason.

Great people and service overall. This was not the first time for misunderstandings. When I mention no dairy in anything, I assumed that would be understood. No dairy in a sauce, no cheese, etc. I received a cheese topping extravaganza on a soup. They brought it back to scrap the cheese off and left me a melted residue cheese cup of soup which made me with sick. Another time I ordered a burger and mentioned no dairy. They cooked the burger side by side on the same grill as their fish and the burger tasted and smelled like fish and they acknowledge that it was cooked by the fish and that was their mistake, and they reduced the bill. Third was when I asked for a well done burger with no dairy, and they told me the buns have butter in them and the burger was near raw. I assume the chef was not at their best each time I have been there. I hope they realize cross contamination and health issues are real and they tighten up ship.

As usual, an excellent evening at Farmer. We dig the amazing cocktails. The whole crew there is so friendly and welcoming. Also, I'm hooked on the ham board. Get the higher end option, you won't regret it. It's comfort food for hard times. Ham on lovely biscuits with chutney and pickles. And butter. That will cure what ails ya. Love love love these guys.

Oh, baby, what an experience! My date and I, we were absolutely smashing, yeah! We kicked things off with some bread slathered in beef tallow—oh, it was new, exciting, and downright delicious, baby! Then, we shared the green goddess salad and the 5 onion soup—both of 'em were pure magic, I tell ya! So good, I couldn't help myself, I drank that soup like it was liquid gold. For the main event, we had the lasagna and the trout fish and chips—timeless, baby! So classic, I thought I’d just float away on a cloud of flavor. Lee, our groovy server, was a total legend and made the whole experience a real treat. We'll be back soon, baby—no doubt about it! Yeah!

Recommend med by our hotel, we couldn’t have been happier. Delicious. Ambience, mood, oozed intelligence on the plate. Yum, a must.

Due to our advancing age and the handicaps that causes, we have a hard time at any restaurant. WFAS was very understanding of that and very helpful. Add to that an excellent dinner with special attention to minor changes in the menu items we ordered. Result was an excellent dinner for two. A little costly but well worth the price. Really good, caring service and attention to detail from every staff person we saw. Who could ask for anything more!

Our go to place for going out in Hudson. Really the best spot in the Hudson valley. Our kid visits from NYC, and it's our family tradition to visit, eat oysters, drink yummy cocktails, eat lovely food, enjoy the fire. Always an incredible time. Kristan and Kirby are truly amazing people, always cordial and welcoming. Really my favorite spot...
