Tacoma’s newest waterfront restaurant, Woven Seafood & Chophouse, is a Roy Yamaguchi concept owned by The Puyallup Tribe of Indians. Setting was nice. Service was poor. Server inattentive . We poured our own wine. Food was cold when delivered. Steak was good. Salmon bland. The bread offering at $6 for two small pieces of bread was a ripoff. I will recommend that family and friends stay away until service and food quality improve. It was our anniversary and our experience did not meet our expectations.

The sushi and drinks were good. However, my entree (filet mignon) lacked flavor, was served with mashed potatoes that were gummy in texture and a sauce that was just...bad. It also lacked any kind of crust, instead was just a hunk of gray meat. Also, we paid $6 for "bread and butter' that was one (1) slice of bread cut in half and toasted. Yes, a single slice of bread for SIX DOLLARS. It was comical. The kitchen was also incredibly slow with getting food out and we were there for over 2 hours for 2 appetizers, 1 slice of mediocre and overpriced toast, and 2 meals.

The food was delicious, but the staff made the experience so wonderful! You can tell they loved being there and that made for the best experience. The food was perfectly timed and the kids menu is so perfect. They even made my 3 yr old feel loved and welcomed. Such special restaurant and we can’t wait to go back and try the regular menu after loving the Valentines Day special menu.

Waited 20 minutes even though I had reservations and could see empty tables. When I asked how much longer they sat us immediately at a table that was empty the entire time we waited and was basically in the staff walkway. Appetizer was decent, my dinner was dry and cold. Talked with the wait staff who was awesome and asked to have it removed from table and bill. Very disappointed.

Kathryn, our server was very professional, made sure we were very well taken care of the entire visit, which made our visit very memorable. We enjoyed her smile and the way she interacted with our mother on her 70th birthday, which made her day very special, thank you very much.

We enjoyed our group dinner, the staff was beyond amazing. The restaurant looks great with the new ownership. Food was good but did take awhile to come out. We would definitely go back though.

I think they are still a little new and have some kinks to work out. The prices are outrageous for the quality meal you get. $6 for a single, thin slice of sourdough and plain unsalted butter? We spent almost $200 and rated all of our food 5/10 on taste and about 10/10 on presentation, so they definitely have some growth to do. Our octopus appetizer was beautifully plated but so bland. I couldn’t taste a char but we literally saw him grilling it lol… I think it just could have used some acid to brighten up the flavors a bit. And the beans were undercooked. The portions of the entrees were great, but my short rib was so over salted in random bites throughout and all the veggies were different sizes, so nothing was cooked evenly. The potatoes were slightly under and cold. Service was also a little slow for 8pm on a Friday. Maybe it was because it was Valentine’s Day, but 2 glasses of wine took 25 min.. Our server was incredibly nice though. Overall, I was really looking forward to coming here since they first opened, but the dinner really fell flat for us. We would have ordered dessert, but we looked over at the table next to us and were so disappointed with the portions of their desserts, and our own experience so far, that we didn’t even bother. Maybe we will try again this summer, once they’ve had more time under their belt, but for now I’d rather go to any of the other established restaurants nearby for that kind of money.

I must say, it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. From the moment we walked in, the warm, welcoming atmosphere made us feel right at home. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was nothing short of outstanding. It was a delightful dining experience.

The food was beyond expectation. Had the cedar salmon and it was perfectly cooked. Wait staff was very attentive, refilling water, clearing dishes, checking in our needs. Beautiful experience
