   Well, the food here is amazing, the service is not. Last night I took two friends there. They had been wanting to try out Xacali since I had been bragging about how wonderful the food is. We got there at 6 PM and placed our order by 6:15 PM. After waiting for our main entrée for about an hour, we noticed that 4 to 5 other tables that had been seated and ordered after us had already been served their food. After waiting for our entrée for two hours, we finally had to cancel it. I had told the manager how frustrated I was with the service and no apologies. After dining at. Xacali at least 10 times as well as having my company holiday dinner there, sadly I won’t be going back. Just a warning, don’t show up hungry because it may take two hours to get your food.

   Disappointed that they automatically add gratuity to bill - something you need to watch for when paying.

   Vincent is a professionally trained chef and it shows. We had a great brunch experience today. A surprise find in the canyon.

   What a find…. Beautiful location and exceptional Mexican dining. This is not your typical rice and beans TexMex. My duck in mole on tamal was as unique a flavor mix as anything I’ve had in the best restaurants of Mexico City. The ceaser salad, made of fresh baby romaine, was deliciously dressed with another special blend of Creamy Salsa made with the distinctive flavors of Oaxaca. I’ll definitely be going back.

   We love coming to the restaurant and have been there several times. The food is amazing however this time the service was very poor. We were told the server was being trained, which we understand and have much patience for but when we asked for something additional the answer was always no. Example, we wanted extra bread and was told they order accordingly and don’t want to run out. It was for a 1 year old and the fact they couldn’t accommodate that is very disappointing. In the service industry having hard non negotiable’ and hard restrictions on customer service is not a very good approach for a small restaurant when many in the same set up are so flexible and accommodative. In addition if there is a staffing issue reservations should be reduced as we ended up cancelling drinks as it was taking so long and had to leave. We look forward to going back and hope these suggestions are taken well.

   The chef here makes ‘not your usual’ Mexican food. It’s delicious, not too hot and real food from different areas of Mexico

   Everything was amazing and on a whole elevated level. I didn’t care for the Basque cheesecake asI was expecting something different. Will b back!!!

   Creative, upscale delicious food in a unique location. We had fabulous service and the meal was outstanding. A 10 at all levels- we loved the ambience too! If you're looking for chips, salsa and basic Mexican fare, this is not for you.
