Bringing the best fried chicken and freshest farm ingredients, Yardbird has since garnered the praises of the James Beard Foundation as a semi-finalist for “Best New Restaurant South” and as one of Bon Appétit’s “50 Best New Restaurants” in 2012. Yardbird sticks to the values of tradition, family, and community with a menu of “soul-nurturing” dishes intended for sharing. A warm, comforting environment lets guests feel relaxed and at home while dining at Yardbird. Southern touches add to the nostalgia, like antique candlestick holders, wildflowers on all the tables, and handmade light fixtures outfitted with Edison bulbs in Mason jars.

    Service (Nicholas) was outstanding. Tommy the manager was incredible too. Made a special outing even more special.

    I had a reservation for Valentine’s Day for 8:15. We got there early and waited and hour after our reservation to be seated. We were angry and frustrated and the reservation policy was that if it was canceled last minute they would charge 25$ per person on my card. This was upsetting because even if we canceled and left they would have charged me. We finally ended up at a table and had a nice meal, there was good service other than that and the food was great.

    First time at the establishment on Valentines Day. The atmosphere was great, warm and welcoming. They had a special menu for the night and the food was delicious. We had an amazing server name Oscar who took great care of us. The drinks was great Old Fashion (not the one with peanut butter whiskey) was smooth and delicious. The place was packed by the time we left. I’d definitely go again! Parking was easy too! They have restaurant parking that doesn’t cost much (it’s near the valet area).

    Weekday lunch was perfect!. Love the fried chicken. The service is attentive and pleasant.

    My experience at Yardbird has been the absolute best experience that I have had at a restaurant in Los Angeles for the decade that I have been living here. Everything that was ordered was seasoned to perfection and tasted great! The staff was amazing & paid attention to every detail. I cannot express how much I really enjoyed my meal & experience. I would definitely make this place apart of my routine.

    Tommy was our host, and I believe Oscar was our server. They both were top tier!! Our drinks came fast and the food was great!! We will definitely be going back for the the whiskey pairing.

    Food was amazing!! We had the Devil’s Egg, Texas Twinkies, Chicken & Waffles, Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich, Sorbet and Fried Oreo cookie and ice cream. Every single one of these slapped!! We went for the their DineLA Lunch menu and all of this was only $25!! The staff was super courteous. Loved the ambiance too. 10/10
