YATAY is our respect, passion, and zest for the food, drink, and subculture of Street Japan and sharing food. All are welcome in our day-to-late night venue in Soho whether a couple, family, or larger group.

At the heart of YATAY’s food is the Japanese Robatayaki or Japanese Barbecue. Combination of bites, skewers and large plates are created for our patrons to taste unique flavors and techniques in London's West End and Chinatown.

Recently receiving an award by SquareMeal and strong review from Timeout YATAY and our music studio bar Zoku is open day and night.

Beginning of service so quite quiet but the food was a bit bland and nothing to shout about unfortunately. Listed on business meeting review websites but the music is too loud for that really. Food wasn’t bad but won’t be rushing back.

the food was good, but one person was gluten free & all of those dishes came out later, so the gf person couldn't eat anything initially. The waiter pointed out that the broccoli and salad was gf to eat, but everyone else on the table had mains/skewers to eat. So isn't ideal. We asked over the course of 15 minutes for the gluten free mains to come out as one person was sat not being able to eat much. There was missing food from the order..we ordered two sets of chicken skewers - none came. They claimed to have had brought them out at the start, this was false. Food was great, but just really poor delivery of food & lots of confusion, that made the experience quite poor from that side.

Came with higg expectations but were quite disappointed. Despite being quite on a Saturday evening, the service was slow. The food was luke warm and just not as it was described on the menu. Their take on “dirty fries” essentially just gyoza pastry fried skins with a dash of some sauce, was really underwhelming. The cauliflower lacked flavour, and seemed to be simply steamed with a little bit of Mayo on top. One good thing was the pulled pork bao buns. Everything else was just disappointing and underwhelming.
