Owned and operated by second generation renowned restaurateur, Dominick Purnomo, the intimate, elegant split level dining room is has recently gone through a renovation modernizing the dining room now elegantly appointed with neutral colors, bronzed mirrors, a large fireplace, crystal chandelier, and floral displays. Yono's was an absolute treat! We brought my family for a holiday gathering and were seated right in front of a roaring fire. Kiara and the whole team were wonderfully attentive and very accommodating. They handled dietary limitations and one diner's hearing challenges incredibly smoothly. The meal was hands down the best I've had in Albany. Our group especially enjoyed the Indonesian dishes. Their seasonal apple Pavlova was divine - I would gladly eat its apple chutney all the time! We can't wait to return to Yono's and try more dishes!

We went here for our 15th Wedding Anniversary and chose the Grand tasting menu. The food was amazing we were very happy with our meal!!

Yono’s is a fantastic restaurant for fine dining and great wine pairing. This evening was a business dinner. I have also enjoyed romantic dinners there with my wife and had wonderful evenings there with family and friends. The food is consistently good. The service is welcoming and accommodating.

We happened to encounter this restaurant en route from southwest Connecticut to Buffalo, and we are so happy to find this gem! This restaurant truly meets the criteria of "excellent cooking that is worth a detour". If you are looking for a carefully crafted, delicately balanced tasting menu with a South East Asian flair, you can find it at Yono! The chef pays special attention to your dietary restrictions and adjust the tasting menu accordingly. Their food truly encapsulates the beautiful medley of land and sea, paired with excellent hospitality.

Parking was not easy on the night we went. There was a grand piano but it was not being played that night. The wait staff was outstanding! We did the 8 course and wine pairing. Everyone was knowledgeable and explained each dish and paired wine. I definitely ate outside of my comfort zone. There was only one thing I really did not like and didn’t finish. There was one I could have done without but I didn’t waist it. The rest were all very good in my opinion. There were at least 2 that I thought I wouldn’t like but surprisingly were very good. I liked 6 of the 8 wines and there were 2 or 3 that I will be looking for. (Hopefully I can afford them😂). I did not go away hungry but for about $525 for 2 😖. Add a 20% tip and wow. But it was my girlfriend’s birthday and she is worth every penny of it. If you are adventurous in you eating and have the deneros, it a cool experience.

Our server was distracted by a large table next to us. She was trying to engage with us, but the net result did not meet our expectations. By the time we ordered, they were out of a few items. We eat out often at comparable restaurants and this one did not measure up.

Very good elements but some subpar. Great menu, the octopus sauce was amazing and the purées ( heart of palm .. ) were also exceptional. But the Halibut was overcooked and the octopus on the chewy side. The scallop entrée was good. So, great dish compositions with lots of veggies, but the cook needs to learn cook fish properly.
