They had known each other for 15 years, yet only when they crossed paths in a shared kitchen in Dubai did they realise their visions and goals were perfectly aligned. They are Chef Yurii Kovryzhenko and restaurateur Pavlo Moroz. And it was the beginning of a new story. Together, they’ve united to present the culinary world with a unique space centred on re-imagining local ingredients within a neo bistro format with the inspiration from rich experiences gathered around the globe and memories grounded in their Ukrainian heritage.

We recently dined at YOY Neo Bistro in Dubai, and from the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding! We chose this restaurant based on its positive reviews and enticing food photos, unaware that it was a Ukrainian-infused establishment. Despite being open for just over a month, their organization and efficiency made it seem like they had been operating for much longer. Our table was ready upon arrival, and we were seated immediately. Our waiter promptly attended to us, and shortly after, the master chef, Yurii Kovryzhenko, personally welcomed us to his restaurant. As we looked over the menu, Chef Yurii inquired about our preferences and suggested he select dishes for us to showcase his native cuisine. We eagerly agreed, and it was a decision we did not regret! The food was outstanding—simple yet flavorful, fresh, and balanced. Each course was phenomenal, and the entire meal was an experience. Every dish was presented and explained by Chef Yurii, whose passion for his home cooking was evident as he shared stories tied to his roots and childhood. The drinks were also delicious, well-balanced, and paired perfectly with the menu. If you’re seeking an elegant, over-the-top, amazing, delicious, and memorable meal, do not miss out on this restaurant. Everything was outstanding.

Absolutely loved this place! The Ukrainian dishes and drinks are authentic but with a modern twist that makes them even more special. Everything was so delicious—it honestly blew me away! Or, as we say in Ukrainian, 'yoy, so tasty!' Definitely worth a visit.
