This place might be the most overrated restaurant I’ve ever been to. We were expecting so much more. We were seated in the bar instead of the main dining room which we had reserved. Stuck with a new trainee who couldn’t articulate the specials coherently. We were rushed through dinner- our entrees arrived before we were halfway through our appetizer! The entrees were quite small, and the pasta was a large, cold clump of something hard to define. Avoid this place. To be fair, they comped our dinner- out of embarrassment, and hopes for a sympathetic review. I guess people in River Oaks think this is acceptable, based on reviews. Dont be fooled! Avoid this place!!

I was really disappointed with my recent dining experience. During the table-side preparation of my tomahawk steak, the server didn’t wear gloves and even touched the salt with his bare hand before sprinkling it on the meat—something that used to be done with gloves in the past. Although the waiter repeated back my correct order, I was served the wrong dish. The crust on the pizza was too soft and it was crunchier in the past. To make matters worse, the food took an unreasonably long time to arrive, even though the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy. I hope the management addresses these issues promptly, as both hygiene practices and order accuracy are crucial for a positive dining experience.

This was our first time there. Food was good all around. Excellent mussels appetizer and good lamb ossobucco. Server was extremely inexperienced--really didn't seem like she knew what she was doing. For a fine dining restaurant, that's really unacceptable. Noise level was higher than it should be for a nice place as well. Probably won't be back.

The beet salad is one of the finest in the area, and the tagliolini lobster is consistently a top choice. I would also like to commend the hostess and the hospitality staff for their exceptional service. The team consistently strives to accommodate all guest needs, creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience.

Food and service were excellent. However, we were charged an additional 3% as a surcharge for using a credit card and were not informed of that before being charged. We would have paid with cash had we known. They should have told us in advance, as is the law.
