Zimmi's has my heart! My boyfriend and I had stumbled upon Zimmi's on social media and could not wait to check out the menu! The ambiance and service are fantastic and the food is out of this world! We made a reservation a few weeks back and have been on the edge of our seat to try the food; upon our arrival we were quickly taken to our table (highly recommend making a reservation). We were then given our menus and asked if we wanted to kick-off with some drinks, I had a dirty martini (so perfect) and my boyfriend had a half bottle of Syrah (which was chilled and full of flavor) From there we placed our food order: Appetizers: - French fries (not on the menu, these fries blew our mind! Crispy and full of seasoning!) - Moules Farcies (these mussels are incredible! And trying to explain the flavor would not do it justice) order this dish!! Main courses: - Pasta Davia (the pesto alongside the beans just melted my heart! I am still dreaming about all the flavors) - Échine De Porc (my boyfriend said was something special that touched his soul and melted in his mouth) Dessert: - Pavé Au Chocolate (not my favorite, but if you like rich chocolate desserts then this would be right up your alley) the crème anglaise was wonderful and full of zest! I cannot say enough about how much I enjoyed Zimmi's! If you are looking for the perfect date night restaurant in the West Village, look no further than Zimmi's

Showed up 9:11 for 9:15 reservation & only sat at 9:35. Staff was apologetic and wonderful but overall food was not memorable. The best dish was the pate de campagne and the wines we shared were very nice. The moules were dry, the pasta davia was overcooked, the lamb stew was dry/bland and the pork collar was 3 artfully placed pieces of fatty pork w two dandelion leaves & some cooked onions. Sadly they were out of beef Bourgogne and sub was a 50/60 ounce dry aged steak. Overall not great dining and I would not go back.

We had a lovely dinner at Zimmi’s and very impressed with the food. The ambiance was cozy, the dishes were unique and flavorful while still approachable. The standouts were the artichoke soup with foie gras and the lamb entree. The cocktails were well crafted and wines lovely. Service was warm and attentive.

Not your typical French bistro in a a delightful and way! The Italian influence in the menu is evident (pastacuitta!). The rotating menu means there'll be some dishes you may not get to experience but there's really no going wrong with anything on the menu here. If we had to pick our favorite dish it would be a tie between the pork collar (so tender!) and the vegetable terrine with anchovy emulsion. The pastacuitta's ragu may not look it but it's deceptively hardy - as if it were a a traditional bolognese. For very classic French dishes we went with the country pate and the sourdough with French butter - yes we doubled down on the creaminess. For dessert we went with the vanilla ice cream with sable cookies and rice pudding with apricot pudding - both were great but either alone would have been good to split to cap off the evening. The ambiance is nice, casual yet chic (as expected for the West Village). I would stop short of calling it romantic/intimate only because its true to French bistro form in regards to spacing - about a foot between tables, short enough for neighbors to hear each other and to potentially have to squeeze by / move tables to get out. The staff is great and knows their stuff. While we knew what we wanted from the food menu we were total novices with the wine menu and our waiter recommended a delicious pairing. This is one of the places we can't wait to go back to again!
