   Zoe’s is a lovely lounge area, bright, modern and light decor for afternoon tea , cocktails or dinner. Seated in a solarium style room we had a great of the senate/old train station. This last hotel renovation is very tasteful and contemporary. Comfortable seating and lovely service. My husband and I tried High tea for the first time and we now plan to try it again in other Canadian cities as well. Three-tiered serving tray was elegant with excellent variety of savouries and sweets. Very good selection of teas to choose from. 🙂

   Nicole and Paul are fantastic servers! I recommend more variety with the desserts; quite a few versions of sponge and mascarpone cream. Also, compares to most afternoon teas, it’s a little low on value for money. Still, à lovely setting.

   Our party reserved for 4, we had to wait for our table despite having a reservation. Our table was only set for 3. Our waitress never introduced herself to us, she didn’t ask us if we wanted any beverages and she just assumed we all wanted the classic high tea and brought it to the table, I had wanted vegetarian, she made a big deal out if having to change our tiers out for vegetarian. I found a few of the savoury items a bit stale. I found the entire high tea extremely overpriced, not good value for money. It’s been a few years since I’ve had high tea at Zoe’s and the updated decor is beautiful. We had a lovely time but it had little to do with the food and service.

   With reservations we were told to wait. We waited 20 minutes. Then felt rushed. We weren’t ask to take our coats until we asked

   It’s a picture perfect environment. The service was impeccable but the food was a deception. Small dry cold scones, made in advance sandwiches and old tasting desserts. High priced.

   Appetizers were good, the main (tuna) was very bland but the desserts were amazing. Our server was amazing and made our birthday dinner feel very special. We wouldn’t return for the food, but would go to the lounge for drinks.

    There is no where else I go in Ottawa. Great and refined food combined with excellent service. Cocktails are a must !
