We’re a Modern Japanese restaurant located in Surry Hills. We pride ourselves on serving the best Japanese cuisine in Sydney, prepared by our expert chefs using the freshest local and sustainable ingredients where possible. For those looking for something unique, our Omakase experience is designed to take diners on a culinary journey, highlighting the freshest and most delicious ingredients.
We’re your fun neighbourhood Japanese restaurant located on Crown Street in the heart of bustling Surry Hills, Sydney. At Zushi we love our customers and our customers love our relaxed approach, coupled with delicious food, friendly service and dining options in our buzzy restaurant, upstairs mezzanine and open air courtyard. We offer dine in, takeaway, catering and mobile zushi.

We went on a Friday night, a group of 6. We chose our own courses, everything was amazing. The Chiefs selection sashimi was done of the best any of us had eaten. The cocktails and wines were fabulous. Even in a very busy restaurant the staff were incredibly attentive and the meals arrived at a nice pace. We will be back and highly recommend you visit.

Disappointing and Overpriced Spent over $250 here, and it was not worth it at all. The mocktail tasted like a mix of Listerine and toothpaste—definitely not enjoyable. The beef was chewy and lacked freshness, while the kingfish had no real flavor, almost like it had been marinated in water. The overall quality was very poor, comparable to what you’d find in a food court. I’ve been to many sushi places, and this was by far the most overpriced and underwhelming experience. Would not recommend.

It was my birthday dinner and the night was so lovely . The staff were very attentive and the food was delicious . I love sitting outside in the courtyard and my guests loved the evening Z thankyou so much for making it a perfect night for me and my friends and family

Much prefer the Surry Hills restaurant to Barangaroo; same delicious food, but not nearly as noisy and bustling. The courtyard is a great spot.
