Rails Steakhouse is a modern American steakhouse offering carefully selected USDA Prime and CAB corn-fed beef, dry-aged a minimum of 28 days on-premise & hand-cut daily. We offer modern and contemporary dishes, including sustainable fresh seafood, homemade desserts, and an award-winning wine list recognized by Wine Spectator.

Attention to detail can be seen in this beautiful 20,000 sq. ft., restaurant where sprawling timber meets natural stonewalls, accents of glass showcase fire-and-water features in this luxe lodge. While all levels feature the same menu, the main dining room has a more sophisticated ambiance and Rafters on the second floor has a more casual lodge appeal. Descend to the lower level to find the secret passage that takes you to the wine cave, and Thirty 3, a speakeasy-style bar and lounge. Dine al fresco on our outdoor terraces offering spectacular views of the Pyramid Mountains. Most importantly, we want you to feel at home where our hospitality is second to none.

Rails offers several private and intimate spaces, the Library and Mosaic room which feature sweeping views of downtown Towaco and are perfect for celebrating birthdays, anniversaries and showers and for holding smaller business meetings. For larger events such as cocktail and engagement parties consider the Rails main dining room or Rafters Lounge, with its striking catwalk and expansive, curved bar. In warmer months, the outdoor Vista Terrace is a wonderful location for a reception or a cocktail hour, offering front-row views of the gorgeous surrounding scenery. All of our private dining options feature Rails signature, eco-friendly blend of natural elements and luxurious interior design, and all have widescreen televisions available for presentations.

Considered one of the "first growths" of Napa Valley, Stag's Leap Wine Cellars produces renowned Cabernet Sauvignon from its historic Stags Leap District estate vineyards. Founded in 1970, the winery brought international recognition to California winemaking and the Napa Valley when the 1973 S.L.V. Cabernet Sauvignon wone the now famous 1976 Paris Tasting, also known as the "Judgment of Paris." Stag's Leap Wine Cellars' three estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignons - CASK 23, S.L.V. and Fay - are among the most highly regarded and collected Cabernet Sauvignons worldwide. The wines are fashioned to express richness balanced by elegant restraint, an approach often described as "an iron fist in a velvet glove." Just an OK experience, mainly due to the treatment we received from our waitress. Went there for a birthday celebration for my husband and were given the wrong specials, only to order one and find out 20 minutes later it’s not a special of the night. No problem, so he ordered something else. The food was good, the waitress was less than attentive but we were still enjoying the meal. When dessert and coffees were done we requested the check and waited almost 30 minutes for the waitress to come with the bill. My MIL ended up walking up to her at the computer to beg for the check so we could leave and put our baby down. Without reviewing the check she charged us for both the special they didn’t have and the replacement meal my husband ordered instead so another $60 on the bill. We paid, tipped and left before realizing. I then went back to have the bill adjusted and felt the management didn’t seem to be overly apologetic for the overcharge. Initially they wanted to refund me the extra plate we received but I requested the void the initial bill and re-run the card so I could adjust the tip accordingly. They were happy to do so, but for this level of dining experience why did I feel like their intention is to take advantage of people? I didn’t appreciate the lack of professionalism the waitress had, nor the minimal apology from the manager. Likely won’t return as there are similar steakhouses with better trained staff in the area that. Be sure to double check the bill!

It was a good experience, but not the best that I've ever had. At the high prices, I don't need to go again. Maybe happy hour.

I love Rails been going here for some time and they never disappoint it’s probably been my bf and I fav date night spot for both occasions and spontaneous nights. But this particular time was made even better by the service we received from Laura hope I’m saying and/or spelling it correctly. Thank you for always giving us such a great night with great food. We even were so lucky to have an extra dessert on the house not sure who that was but a huge thanks to him as well! Not sure why we were so lucky but it was delicious!! Lol

Rails is a fantastic steakhouse, comparable to the best in the city and better than most. Service is always excellent and I have yet to have anything there that I didn't love.

Made a reservation well in advance to secure a table in the speakeasy. Arrived and the hostess said my speakeasy reservation wasn’t guaranteed and we’d. e seated in the main dining room. Waitress started off by spilling my husband’s red cocktail down my arm and all over the front of my area on the table. The noise level was extremely loud and hard to carry on a conversation with the rest of my 5 guests. As usual the food was good but this time the service was mediocre and the fact that we didn’t get a table in the speakeasy was extremely disappointing especially when we were there to celebrate my son’s birthday.

Steaks are unbeatable in quality, flavor, and plentiful sized.....for any area NJ steakhouse. It has no rival....but there is a premium price attached .... so be prepared for a $275 + tip meal for 2!! Hearty eaters & a few glasses of wine. We had to move our seat.....the booths for 2 in the main dining hall are way too tight for tall diners. the booths are cramped for comfort plus the table limits your dining experience.....wait staff always jockeying plates & stemware. Not a pleasant experience. However...... ask for a table in the front dining or top level when making a reservation. also of tasty note......Rails side dishes are so yummy.....not the ho-hum boring broccoli & carrots or roasted tasteless potatoes.....their sides have umami guts. Desserts top off the nite and hard to select.....all are divine!!! Great Job Rails!!!
