   My wife ordered the Blackened Grouper, which was seasoned but not traditionally blackened. Unfortunately, the side dishes were served cold, and we had to reorder them. When I brought my concerns about the food preparation to the attention of the General Manager, he was very attentive and open to feedback. He kindly offered to pay for our meal, turning what initially seemed like a disappointing anniversary dinner into a much brighter experience than we expected.

   Goat cheese salad, blackened grouper and anonymous goose Sauvignon blanc were all excellent. Only issue was one portion of fish was undercooked. However, the kitchen made it right very quickly and provided a fresh entree.

   We migrate to Hilton Head Island for six to eight weeks every winter. With all the great restaurants to choose from on the island Red Fish is among the best. I knew we were arriving on Valentines Day weekend. Four weeks ago, I knew Red Fish would be the best place for us to celebrate Valentines Dan and our escape from winter. As usual we were not disappointed, the ambience service and menu were perfect. My wife and I were treated as we anticipated. I am sure we will visit several more times on our visit.

   Delightful meal and expansive wine list. Fish is very fresh and all entrees have a hint of Southern. Love this place!

   After an absence of almost 20 years, our recent visit to Red Fish was a pleasant surprise. The dining area had subdued lighting and was pretty quiet, and the food was very tasty. Although our waitress may have needed some instruction on the finer points of service, she was very cordial and responsive to our needs. My wife's choice of the baked oyster/shrimp/clams appetizer required her to rethink the rest of her order. It was a huge serving and tasted great, so she opted for just a salad to complete her meal. My blackened grouper had perhaps a tad too much spicy seasoning, but it was still good. The wine list is extensive, with some very good selections by the glass at reasonable prices. We shared the featured Valentine's Day desert, which was actually a delightful combination of three different desserts and a bargain at just $12. We definitely won't wait for another 20 years to return.

   Very nice evening with another couple celebrating Valentines. Food and service are consistently outstanding at Red Fish, and ambiance is always great...... It's a very popular spot that everyone enjoys. We don't need a special occasion to dine at Hilton Head's finest restaurants, as we dine out almost every night, but this is always a good choice for a cozy & romantic setting to treat yourself to excellent cuisine and a memorable dining experience. We ordered the NY Strip to share and our guests had the Halibut special and the Salmon. All were beautiful in presentation, and served timely and hot. Server checked on us often which is extremely important to me (something for which isn't often given enough credit). Thank you most kindly & see you next time.

   Food is good, not great. Service is very good but could be improved; bus service walked by our table numerous times staring directly at dirty empty dishes and kept on going, one time stopped and picked up one plate, leaving three others. Wine selection is too limiting.
