Edinburgh Restaurants

Enjoyed our meal at HRC Edinburgh. Only issue we had was getting seated. We had booked a table and it was a long time after that time that we were shown to a table with nowhere to sit in the bar area. We appreciate it was very busy but could do with more chairs / stools in bar area. Food was good and quick and server advised us just to have one dessert as they were massive 😃

This was a great find. If you like whisky, this is a place for you. Great selection and a choice of different whisky's selections to try. Both the Haggis neeps and tatties and Scottish Salmon were both amazing.

A lukewarm reception as I don’t think the gentleman who booked us in and took our menus uttered a single world to us when we arrived. He just collected the menus from their storage shelf and headed for the table. Not to worry though as (spoiler alert!) the food was excellent! It’s also fair to say he warmed up once we were seated and looked after us well. Overall I’d say this was a very enjoyable evening. We went for the Festive Set Menu which is terrific value! The portion sizes were generous too. My wife’s turkey was thick, juicy and flavourful and my Flat Iron Steak was perfect. A five star experience, just a pity about the blasé welcome.

We were a party of 6 with various breakfast choices and everyone thoroughly enjoyed what they had. Staff were lovely and all the coffees were piping hot as was the food. Couldn’t fault anything.
